"So, you're really trying to tell me that it wasn't you? Even after I've shown you all of the fucking evidence that we have?" I asked, getting slightly fed up.
"Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying asshole. I was framed, it wasn't me." My suspect replied. Me and my team had been working to catch the guy that had been performing a string on robberies. I had finally gathered the evidence I needed and got the guy I know damn well did it, he's just now being a total jackass about it and is making my job so much harder than it needs to be.
"We both know you're full of shit. We have camera footage of you committing a handful of the robberies and your fingerprints match the ones from the scene. How are you still going to fucking tell me it wasn't you? You don't even have an alibi."
"I don't need one, it wasn't me." He said.
I was about to blow up when a forensics officer and my boss walked in, "We've reviewed all of the eveidence you've provided and heard everything that's been said here. We'll take it over from here Bakugo, you've done well." My boss told me, placing a hand on my shoulder.
"R-Right, thank you sir." I replied before walking out of the room.
I graduated from college 2 years ago and have recently graduated from my training, finally being able to officially work as a criminal profiler. I genuinely enjoy my job but I've noticed that I often get treated like I don't know what I'm fucking doing and it pisses me off. I always gather evidence that proves my suspicions to be true and yes, I get the credit I deserve, but at the end of the cases my boss always takes over. It gets infuriating after a while.
Seeing as I was taken off yet another case I decided to relax in the breakroom until I was told to do something else. Once in the room I texted Hitoshi, deciding to check in on how he and Saeko were doing, he should be back home from picking Saeko up from preschool by now. Hitoshi's still in some sort of training to become a lawyer so he usually picks Saeko up from school, though he should be finishing that up within the next couple months.
I was in luck and he immediately answered me. I ended up losing myself in talking to him, not even noticing when my boss came into the room. "Bakugo, get up, we're going out to start another case." He said, catching my attention.
I quickly turned my phone off and stood up, "Yes sir." I said, following him out of the room to head to wherever the hell he was leading me.
                        ------------------------------
"I'm home!" I called out as I slowly made my way through the front door. I heard footsteps starting to run down the stairs, Saeko quickly throwing herself around my leg.
"Welcome home papa." She said with a big smile.
I smiled back and picked her up, holding her against my side. "How was school today Princess?" I asked her.
"It was really fun! We got to color and play and we watch a movie!" She replied, her smile growing wider as she talked.
"That does sound like fun." I said as I kissed her cheek and set her back on the ground. She ran off to where I'm assuming Toshi was as I took off my shoes.
As I started walking farther into the house I felt a pair of arms turn me around and slide around my waist. "How was work Love?" Hitoshi asked.
I rested my head against his chest and let out a breath I didn't know I had been holding, "Stressful and annoying, though I don't think that's much different than usual."
"They take you off another case last minute?" Hitoshi questioned.
I nodded, "They do it every single fucking time and it's getting so annoying. I get that I'm new but I can handle what comes with the entire fucking process. They just put me on a new case aswell and I already know that the same shit's going to happen all over again."
As I was complaining Hitoshi was softly rubbing my back, calming me down a little bit. He kissed the top of my head and then pulled away slightly, just enough so that I could see his face, "Just try to impress them so much that they'll have no choice but to keep you on this one, I know that you're more than capable of doing it."
I smiled and threw my arms around his neck, pulling him down and connecting our lips. When we pulled apart I placed my hand on his cheek, slowly moving my thumb back and forth, "I'm glad that you at least have faith in me."
"I always have faith in you Kat." Hitoshi replied, putting his hand on top of mine.
"Dad! Papa! Can we go out for dinner tonight? Please?" Saeko came running into the kitchen to ask.
"What, is my cooking not good enough for you?" I questioned.
"N-No, your cooking is good papa, I just want nuggies. Please?" She begged with big eyes.
I sighed, knowing damn well I could never say no to her, "I suppose we can go out tonight. Let me go get changed and the we can leave, yeah?" I replied, Saeko's face lighting up. She hugged my leg before taking off to her room.
"You give into her way too easily." Hitoshi said, a soft smile on his face.
I shrugged, "What can I say? I have a pretty big soft spot for the kid. I did promise to give her the perfect life after all, didn't I?"
Hitoshi laughed then planted a kiss on my cheek, "That you did." He said, leaning close to my ear, "If you were up for it we could always try for baby #2, make life that much more perfect. You know Saeko's been asking for a little sibling lately."
Hitoshi and I had been talking recently about having another kid, seeing as we both agreed that we wanted 2. I've been slightly hesitant just because of what I went through with Saeko but I know that deep down I really wanted to have a second kid. I smirked but started walking up to our room, "Talk to me on my next day off, I'll see if I'm willing to take you up on your offer then." I replied, knowing that damn well, after all that we've been through, that he's the only other person in this world that I could never say no to.
After all that Hitoshi and I have been through over the years I would drop everything in and instant if he needed me to do something for him. Our relationship hasn't been the easiest, especially since Hitoshi's relapse last year, but one thing that's never changed was how much we loved eachother. We got eachother through every single hardship that we faced and I think that that's why we've gone so strong. Through thick and thin we've always known that we've had eachother, it's everything that I've ever wanted and more. Our lives turned out to be perfect, even if things didn't always go according to plan.
