Y/N

Few days and nights and my wound –gunshot wound– is healing pretty well thanks to my faster healing ability caused by my mutant genes. Wanda refused to let me move around a lot. Basically treating me the same way I treated her when I brought her here.

Things were peaceful after my recent mission until I woke up in the middle of the night hearing some kind of murmurs and... thrashing? I stood up from the couch and walked to Wanda's (formerly mine) bedroom, slowly opening the door. She never locks her door, probably because she trusts me enough.

There, I saw her. Face frowning, sweats covering her forehead, and she's also gripping on her blanket.

Shit, she's having a nightmare.

I ran towards her, shaking her lightly.

"Hey buddy, wake up."

Why aren't you waking up?!

"Buddy."

Should  I get into her mind? No, I'll need permission.

"Buddy, come on. You're worrying me."

I continued to shake her up and slapping her lightly. Just lightly or I might end up being blasted to the other side of the world.

After a while, she finally opened her eyes. Tears glazing them. She gripped my hand tightly that I thought my bones are going to break. How can such delicate hands be this strong? She's not even using those red wiggly woos. Damn. I didn't showed the pain on my face though, to avoid making her worry.

"Hey, you're safe buddy, you're safe."

Her grip loosened as I sat beside her on the bed and hugged her. She leaned her face on my chest despite the fact that she's taller than me.

"It's okay. Just follow my breathing."

She didn't give me any answer, just followed what I said.

"I'm sorry I can't give you a good dream like how you used to do whenever I get nightmares."

I started patting her head in hopes that it'll help her calm down.

"It's okay. Your presence is enough" is what came out of her mouth. We stayed cuddled in each other's arms. Silence, a comfortable one, enveloped the room. I noticed her releasing a yawn, which is pretty cute. Yeah. Seeing one of the most powerful Avenger yawning is pretty cute... I'm glad she can't read my mind.

"Sleepy?" I asked. Wanda shook her head no.

"After that nightmare, I don't think I can sleep anymore tonight."

I didn't bothered to ask since I might or might've not taken a peek on her mind. Y/N you hypocrite. After saying you won't get into her mind without permission, and yet you still did it. You suck, Y/N. You're a bad person.

"I'm a monster, Y/N." I looked at her face and stared at her eyes.

"You're not."

"I am. You should be scared of me."

Okay. I don't really know how to comfort a person.
