Days passed, the doctor decided to let Imee discharge out of the hospital since she's now okay and doesn't feel any other pain anymore and also because it's Kate's recognition next day.
Irene chose to stay and attend Kate's recognition but she reprimanded Alfonso to accompany Janella in going to California for her recognition itself. Kate was the punong abala on taking good care of Imee, Irene understands her but she can't avoid the jealousness she's feeling whenever she's witnessing how her daughter takes care and how she loves her sister, Imee.
It's already lunch time, Irene was the one who volunteers to cooked food for the family. She cooked Kate's favorite and she even reserved a seat for her beside her. She was ecstatic while preparing, it's been awhile since she last prepared some foods for them.
Inutusan niya ang mga kasambahay na tawagin na ang lahat upang makakain, the boys were the first one to enter the dining area and was mesmerize to see different variety of foods cooked by their tita Irene. Kate on the other hand approached them with Imee beside her walking hand in hand which caught Irene's eyes. She welcomed them with a light smile, but deep inside she's so jealous. Kate sat beside her mama Imee without knowing that her mom reserved a seat for her, Irene wasn't able to protest anymore.
"Iya, tita reserved a seat for you oh." Sandro informed Kate which made her surprise, she looked at Irene with hesitation flash on her face.
"N-no it's okay, you can stay there a-anak." Irene signifies, she wants to sit beside her so much kahit ngayon lang, she thought that today will be her chance but she was wrong.
After they've said the grace, they started to dig in. Irene was quiet the whole time, she just talks whenever she's asked. She witness Kate and Imee's joy & moments while eating, whispering and laughing which shatters her heart.
"It should have been you if you didn't left her Irene, tama siya, sinukuan mo nga." She thought.
She immediately looked down when her tears welled up, she consoles herself, telling herself that this isn't the right place and time to breakdown. But she's tired, she can't hold into her emotions anymore, hindi na niya kaya yung sakit at pagseselos na nararamdaman niya na hindi naman dapat niyang maramdaman. After she eat her small amount of food placed on her plate, she excused herself and proceed to their music room. Irene sat on the chair in front of the piano, she put her fingertips on the keys as she started playing it.

She was currently singing the song Puwang sa Puso by Juris, her tears were already streaming down to her cheeks. This is the only way to lessen the pain she's feeling, the longing even if they're near with each other, it seems like their in a miles of distance away.
