It was a long flight from New York to here in California, yes we're already in Cali. I don't know if fate is playing with me because it happens that Stella's friend is also living in San Francisco where our family house reside.
"Literally? In San Francisco?" I ask myself after Stella told me her friend's location.
"Tori? Okay ka lang? Let's go na, the cab is waiting." Stella said, I nod as I lazily walk towards her.
"Did you book a room already?" I ask while walking towards the exit of the airport.
"I did girl, don't worry." She replied, when we reached the outside of the airport, we immediately hop-in as the driver drove to the hotel Stella has booked in.
When we arrive at the hotel, we were greeted by the guards and the staffs, we also greet them back genuinely, these people are so polite!
"Hello madams, good morning! Welcome to California, I can say?" the front desk staff greeted.
"Hello! Definitely right, good morning as well." Stella replied as she smile, I just respond a smile since I'm a shy type of person.
"Do you have a reservation?" she asks politely, we nodded.
"Yes, under the name Stella Tiffany Gonzales." Stella answers, the lady nod as she search for Stella's reservation.
"Okay, found it. Your room is in the 6th floor, number 434 miss." she said and flash a smile.
"thank you miss!" Stella remarked, a crew assisted us in going to our room.
We quickly entered the elevator, we were accompanied by two men who are carrying our bags since it was kinda heavy for Stella and I to carry..
"Thank you so much, Sir!" We both exclaimed, they nod and smile before they left.
"This is a huge space ha, it's like we're staying here forever." I complained while exploring every corner of the room, the room is more like a condominium.
"I don't like staying in a small space, duh! At ikaw din, you're so maarte kaya!" Stella replied, I raise my brows in disbelief.
"Oh what? Remember when we were in New York? You called a janitor just to clean a single toilet in a public rest room kasi gagamit ka." she retorted, I frowned.
"That's not being maarte, it's for safety. They're not the same." I defended as I sit on the couch.
"Atsaka I didn't say naman na I don't like the room ah, In fact, I like the interior and also the view from outside." I added, she just rolled her eyes and sit beside me.
"You know what, Tori, you should get rest kasi mamaya we're going to a supermarket to buy foods for our supply. Go, you naughty lady!" Stella reprimand me, I sigh and stood up to take a comfortable rest on the bed.
Hours passed...
"Wake up you sleepy head! We're going to the supermarket pa!" says Stella while fixing her hair.
Kate groans as she slowly opening her eyes, she stretch both of her hands and legs. She looks at the ceiling at zoned out for awhile, after zoning out, she slowly stood up and lazily walk towards the vanity mirror to fix herself.
"Do you have a list already? Baka may makalimutan tayong bilhin." Kate informs Stella, she nods.
"Yup, hurry up!" Stella reprimands her, it's already almost evening there in California, they usually wants to go out at night to feel the cool breeze.
