I'm such a lucky woman to have plenty of women whom I can call my mother, my aunts, my grandmother and most especially my own mother.
The woman who stayed with me through the years, the woman who bore and raised me with love, the woman who's always there to comfort and listen, however, this celebration isn't just for mothers literally but also for the fathers who became a mother to fulfill the void and space in their children's hearts.
Flashback..
Irene is celebrating mother's day with her husband and of course the reason why she's now celebrating it, her children.
They're in a park having their picnic, a simple mother's day celebration to honor the sacrifices, love and care of the queen of the place they call home.
Having said that, the kids were running around the plaza, chasing each other. The sound of their laugh means so much to Irene and Greggy who were just staying at their spot while preparing the foods that they're going to share later.
Their little girl Kate, walked towards her mother, innocent and adorably smiling while her hands were on her back as if holding something for surprise.
"What is that, my darling? Come here, you're already sweating baby.." Irene said as she motioned her daughter to sit beside her so she could wipe her back.
“Mommy, happy mother's day!” Kate exclaimed with so much joy and excitement so evident in her voice, she showed her picked flowers and gave it to her mother.
“Aww anak, these are so beautiful naman, you're so sweet. Thank you, my baby. Look daddy!” Irene replied, she kissed her cheeks as she called her husband making him show the flowers that their daughter gave.
“Wow ang ganda naman niyan, mas maganda pa ata 'yan kaysa sa binigay ko sayo love.” Greggy told her, Kate and Irene chuckled.
“Of course daddy, fresh from the garden that I don't know kung kanino, but I said sorry naman na sa plant sabi ko ibibigay ko kay mom.” Kate conveyed that made Irene and Greggy laughed.
“Did the plant reply and give you the authorization to take its flowers?” Greggy tried to make sakay her daughter.
“No dad because they are non-living things so it means that they can't talk, they are plants and their study is Botany.” Kate replied that shocked her parents, Irene and Greggy looked at each other.
“Where did you learn that, anak?” Irene asked her, she made her sit on her lap and fixed her hair.
“Biology 'mmy, duh.”
“But elementary palang ikaw, you have biology subject na?”
“Well, the basic ones palang like the branches of biology.”
“Okay, you're so intellegent, mana ka saakin!” Irene proudly convey, she kissed her daughter's forehead.
“Kapag talaga good personality sa'yo tapos kung pasaway, ako.” Greggy complained, Irene blowed a kiss to him.
“Alfonso, Luis, stop running na! Kakain na, halina kayo.” Irene called her sons who are still playing in the plaza.
They all settled down, before eating, Greggy took the cake out of the box as he started singing with their kids.
