I quickly exit the Batcave and head home. I've calmed down since arriving so my powers should be okay. I decide to fly back to the school. I land in a huge, very leafy tree and get down. Hiding behind a bush I change into the clothes I've hidden there.
When I reappear I have a baseball cap and sunglasses on. My reasoning is, if someone saw Mortuus Luna fly into the tree and then suddenly I appear people might get suspicious. I walk a couple miles before taking off the cap.
I continue walking down the road when I pass a shop. This shop has some really nice boards. They've got Longboards, penny boards, regular skateboards, etc. I run into the shop, take off my sunglasses, and look around in awe. Oh, I'm in heaven.
I look around the shop for a new board when I come across the perfect one. It's a black nightingale above a white rose with black wheels. A nightingale is my absolute favorite bird.
I grab the board and check for a price. $59.95! Holy crap! I can't afford that!
As I continue to freak out about the price I don't notice the store's sudden silence. All within an instant everything shut up. After realizing this I slowly lift my head, just now sensing the presence in front of me. When I look up I see Batman. I should've guessed.
"Uh, hi," I say like a retard, "haven't seen you in a while."
He continues to stare, silently when he drags me to a backroom. He must've got the owner here to let him do this. After he shuts the door he is full buisness mode.
"Why is Jason Todd back? What does he want," he utters.
Remembering that I'm supposed to be clueless, innocent Jenna I state, "Well he ran away for a while and now he's back. I feel bad for him though, his adoptive father replaced him like he's trash. He even has an asshole of a brother. What's the hullabaloo annyways?"
Batman ignores my question as he inquires, "You know more than you're letting on don't you?"
"I have no idea what you mean," I state like I'm hurt by what he's implying.
Looking down he notices the board I am so helplessly clinging to my chest. He then drags me back out to the counter, pays for the board, then says lowly, "Tell Selina she needs to be more careful with her secrets."
He disappears into the now darkness outside. The sun must have set when I was looking at the boards. I skate home on my new board.
When I arrive home mom is sitting on the couch eating a can of tuna and watching TV. I set my board by the door and walk up behind her. Putting my arms around her from behind I rest my head on her shoulder.
She was so engrossed in the television she didn't even hear me walk in. She jumps a bit when I rap my arms around her and we giggle.
"Hey kitten," she says turning down the TV.
I give her a kiss on her cheek before saying, "Today was a great day."
Mom looks surprised, raising an eyebrow, then saying, "How so?"
"Jason's back, I broke into the Batcave, saw that I got Nightwing real good yesterday, turns out Nightwing officially hates me, and I got a new board," I list off.
"Congrats Kitty! Your father would be proud of your progress. How'd you get the new board? As far as I'm concerned you don't have any money and I know for a fact that you didn't rob the store," damn she's smart.
"Batman paid me a visit. He bought me the board and then told me to tell you that you should be more careful with hiding your secrets or something," I say before remembering what I found out in the Batcave, "Oh yeah! You never told me that you and Batman were together before."
"That's not important. What is important is what we're going to do about the bat."
"I call him Batass," I say before breaking out into a fit of giggles.
Mom chuckles a bit before she remembers the topic at hand, "For now continue with your mission. Then we'll deal with Batman. Now head to bed. I'm not to pleased about you skipping classes today. Tomorrow you go to all of your classes or I'll postpone your mission by a week."
"That's not fair! Dad would kill me," I yell out.
"No, now go to bed. You have school in the morning," mom says sternly.
I groan before heading to my room. I change into some leggings and a sports bra for pj's. You already know that I'm odd so don't question me. I wipe off my makeup and get under the covers.
Just as I'm about to fall asleep I feel the presence of two people drawing near. I know it's not my parents because I can sense them sleeping in other rooms. I pretend to sleep when the two perps open my window and climb in. I throw shards of ice at the two boys and they get pinned to the wall.
Yes I know who it is. I'm Catwoman's daughter, I can see perfectly in the dark. Peter and Sam struggle to break through when I stand and light my hands with fireballs. They seem to be the only thing lighting this room.
They lift their hands in surrender as I speak harshly, "What the hell are you two doing here!? Two supervillains, who can kill you in seconds, are right in the other room and you decide to climb into their daughter's fucking bedroom! I swear Fury was right about you guys being idiots!"
"We need to talk," Sam whispers calm.
"I am so fucking sick and tired of hearing those four words. Now, get out or I'll scorch you," I whisper shout.
Peter trying to be funny, again, of course says, "We would but we're kinda stuck here if you haven't noticed."
"Oh shut the fuck up," I hiss as the ice melts by my control, "what do you want?"
"I'm sorry Jen, I wasn't thinking," peter pleads.
"When do you ever think? In order to gain my friendship back you two have to do something for me," I mutter the first part under my breath.
In unision both boys ask skeptical, "Like what?"
I smirk.
