Ariel Pov
"Troy going to be ok now, right?" Ariana asked. We were all finally calmed down and chilling in the living room while Troy rested. This night has been a very stressful one. I caught everyone up to speed on the whole vision situation. So now we are trying to think of a game plan. James and uncle Jeff are in the office discussing on how to train our warriors in a short period of time. We have roughly four months to prepare so that a good thing. We shouldn't be stressing to much, but everyone is a little freaked out. Grandma wants to start wizard training right away, get me studying the powerful spells as soon as possible. But, I don't know what good that would do without my full powers in quite yet. I don't want anyone to die because of this family curse. I know uncle Jeff said the warriors are meant to protect the Alpha family, that we are basically royalty to them. They made a pledge 'Alpha fights for us, we fight for our Alpha. Alpha give us freedom, we protect the Alpha in return. Alpha protects our families, we protect his family. We are the warriors of this pack our duty is to the people, we will fight till the last breath.' Its a little subtle for my taste but its been around for centuries.
"Yes baby he just needs some rest he's had a very long night." My mother said bringing me out of my thoughts. During the entire time Troy was injured dad had Ariana, and Cody stay at uncle Mikes house not wanting them to see their brother in that kind of situation. "Ariel can you come in here please?" My uncle Jeff called out to me. I got off the couch and walked towards the office. "Yea, what's up?" I asked closing the door behind me to see James stressed out in the chair and Jeff a little annoyed across from him.
"Can you please go over the vision again." Uncle Jeff asked.
"We have been over this! There is no need to keep replaying it. We know where and when he is going to attack, and we know the new threat we are forced to face. What more are you looking for Jeff." James growled standing up throwing the chair back in the process making me jump.
"James, this plan of yours I....I don't see it working. These things, these creatures they aren't your normal battle with wolves. Its a whole new level, not to mention we don't know much about them. We need to be careful about this, our plan needs to be perfect. We cant have one mistake." He ran his hand over his face in frustration and you could tell he was tired of having this conversation.
"What mistake can that be Jeff? Mhm, we are running out of ideas here. We have less then four months to prepare, and I feel like even that isn't enough. My warriors don't have the luxury you do with your magic. My concern is for my people, and how I could keep them safe. So our numbers wont go from 5000 to 500 in one night. So lets say Ariel and Troy wins, what then? Do you expect his people to surrender? Because I don't. From what Ariel has told us from just the sirens themselves, they want blood. I don't think they will stop because their leader died. I don't even think they care for him, he gave them their freedom so they are going to take advantage of it while they can."
I understand that both of them are scared. And with them both being Alphas, both of them wants what's best for the packs. There is no right or wrong here. But they shouldn't be taking their frustrations out on each other.
"Ariel, what do you think?" Uncle Jeff asked all of a sudden. I looked at him in shock, I didn't know I had a say in what they planned.
"Don't give that look, you come from an Alpha family and you are technically a Luna now. You are going to be part of these meetings in the future. What better practice then putting your opinion in on the biggest battle of the year? We need all ideas right now, anything can help." I gave my uncle Jeff a small smile and looked over at James.
"He's right Ariel, your opinion matters here." James told me. I thought about it but I could only think of one thing, and its quite crazy. I looked over at James as he sat down on the couch and I looked back at my uncle. I don't know if they will like this idea but worth a shot.
"This might be a little far fetched, but what about going to our allies for help. I know I have said multiple times I don't want anyone to die for us. But we might be a little over our heads here. Just hear me out, vampires have the speed. Witches have the wands and spell books. And our very own werewolves have the strength. If we could get them to say yes on joining us, we could each split up in groups. Each having small portions of each species in their party. Some on the West side, other on the East and the main in the North. They are getting allies so whose to say we cant either?" I looked at both of them after I gave my opinion trying to find any hint on what they are thinking, but they masked it very well.
A knock came from the door behind me and my uncle grunted a come in with my mother coming to view right after. "So, Troy is up. He had another vision, very rare to have it twice in one night. Well, day now." The sun was up and the clock simple read 10:30 am. I'm honestly surprised we all aren't super tired yet.
"He wants to discuss it with all three of you but he wanted to take a shower first. I am worried brother, I know I cant stop these visions from happening. But he is a liability to them now, I have never been hurt in my own visions and I don't like that he could be killed. I hate being useless especially when it involves my children, let me help. I can help train with Mike if that's ok with you, I may not have my magic but you know I would be useful when it comes to combat." My mother sat down across from her brother, while I stayed standing in the corner away from everyone. I never really saw the stress and worry that lingered on her eyes. I have been more concerned with my own life and affairs that I didn't think to stop to check on her.
"You know that wouldn't be a problem Mia. We do share the same concern when it comes to the kids, you should know that. But we cant protect them when it comes to their visions. We are grateful Troy is the only one that has them at the moment. Though, we both know Cody is bound to have them as well with all the nightmare he's been having. On the side note we have been trying to figure out a war tactic in here, and Ariel had a nice point. We still have to discuss the outcomes a little more but I like her plan. What about you James?"
I looked over to James to see him contemplating over the plan. Looking like he is going over every possible outcome there is. "I know one thing for sure, she has what it takes to be a Luna. Her plan however has some worries to it."
"How so?" Jeff asked.
"Like first off have you seen or been encountered with the vampires or the witches? I know we have some peace treaty with them and they have not bothered us and we haven't bothered them. But we don't know anything about them. Where they are staying especially."
"You have valid points, but we will never know unless we try. On the finding though, I think I have someone in mind." My uncle Jeff looked over to my mom giving her a pleading look.
"Uh, uh I do not think so Jeff! She's only sixteen she hasn't even got the hang of it quite yet. No, I don't like this. Think of something else!" Mom told him sternly pointing her finger at him.
"Mia, if I could ask my children I would. But we all know your kids are the only ones that got the powers because of who you are. She's our only chance here, and James is right, there is no trace of them anywhere on where they could be."
"Mom, he's right. Nothing can happen to her, especially since its just a locater spell. If her mate is right by her that should give her control and wont let her mess it up. Mom you cant hang on to this fear forever. Ariana got this, she's a strong girl because of you. Trust in that, please." I told her.
She looked over at me with teary eyes and I could finally see the pain in them. She's scared but you could also see she knows we are right.
"Ok."
