book two: Ariel's Time

Ariel Pov 

Night came all too quickly and Colloco offered us to stay at his place, not that we had much of a choice with one of my mates being here. I followed the goddess rule and stayed in Magnus room for the night. It felt weird being away from James but this also feels right to be near Magnus at the same time. Magnus got out of the shower in nothing but boxers on and no shirt, his hair was wet dripping down his body making me want to... what the hell am I saying. God is it hot in here? 

"I'm sorry I am used to coming out of the shower like this its a habit let me just put on some clothes." He apologized but I didn't want him to put on his clothes. I wanted him to take it all off along with mine, make me scream his name. Ugh I need to leave. 

"No you are ok it is your room after all, I don't want to change your routine because of me. But I am going to go tell James goodnight, Ill be back in a bit." I didn't wait for him to respond I just rushed out of the room before my wolf took over. I walked down the hall and stopped in from of James door. I knocked on it and waited not even a full minute before he opened the door. He smiled seeing it was me and pulled me into the room slamming the door behind home pressing his lips onto mine. I giggled at his hunger but immediately gave in kissing him back. Our kiss got  a little heated with him pushing me on his bed he scrambled on top of me going back to my lips again. He started to rub his hands down my leg and lifted them up to where my legs where scrambling over his. I moaned in pleasure as he bit my bottom lip growling in return. I pushed him up a little stopping from this going any further.  "We need to stop. "I breathed out trying to catch my breath. He nodded getting off of me and i sat up. 

"I'm sorry I just got a little carried away, this whole thing has gotten me all wiled up and with the moon goddess basically telling me to chill or else. I will try Ariel, only for you. Maybe one day I would be ok with this, it is just going to take some time. Like she said he is your true mate, I am just the second. I just feel like the universe is laughing im my face right now, after finding you to now having to share you." 

I didn't know how to comfort him and I don't think there is anything I could say to make him feel better either. I gave him a side hug putting my chin on his shoulder. "We will make it work, It has to work," I told him giving a kiss on his cheek standing up. "I am going to head to bed, goodnight." I walked out of the room hearing him mumble a 'goodnight' back. 

I walked back to Magnus room and saw him already laying down reading a book in his hand. 

"What are you reading?" I asked going to the other side of the bed sitting down. 

"Umm The Ultimate Encyclopedia of mythical creatures. I am trying to learn more about the different species that were supposed to go extinct all those years ago. I want to be prepared for this war. I want to know each and every one of their weaknesses." He turned the page and rubbed his temples trying to concentrate. 

Wait, did her say prepare for the war does that mean they are going to help. 

"Does that mean you are going to help us defeat him?" I hopefully asked. 

He smiled setting his book down on the night stand table and looked at me. "My father is still discussing it, me on the other hand I've already decided. You are my mate, I will be there to fight along side you, or behind you where ever you want me I am there. I can not explain it but I feel stronger in your presence. My wolf already wants to mark you, he has been fighting for control since I found you. I told him we had to leave that decision up to you. I would wait a thousand years for you if I had too. But with the moon goddess demands I know I wouldn't have to wait that long, but if there was a wait I would wait for you. Ariel you are worth it, and you are perfect for me. For us both, both in different ways."
