book two: Ariel's Time

Chapter 18

Ariel Pov

I woke up to the sun peaking in through the window and I groaned in annoyance turning around to face the other side. I moved my hand over the bed to feel for Magnus but only felt the bed sheets. I opened one eye to look but didn't see him there. Not wanting to turn back around the other way "Telephonum." I called my phone over to me. It landed next to me and I grabbed it looking at the time. Opening my eyes wide shooting up in the bed to see it was 2 o'clock in the afternoon. I slept that long! Why didn't Magnus wake me up? I massaged at my temples as I groaned at my thrombin head and cursed at myself for getting up so fast.

"Ariel, I didn't wake you cause we didn't go to bed till almost 4 o'clock in the morning. I figured you needed your sleep. Go ahead and take a shower then come downstairs my father wants to discuss his decision with everyone. Ill see you in a little bit, my love." I heard Magnus say in my head. I felt my cheeks get a little flushed at him calling me his love. I sighed getting out of the bed butt ass naked grabbing some clothes from my bag and my essentials making my way to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror brushing my teeth and I noticed Magnus mark on me. Smiling at the memory running my fingers over it noticing it was in the shape of a moon. Beautiful! I finished smiling like an idiot and hopped in the steaming shower.

I walked downstairs in a black sweater with a pair of white denim shorts and a pair of black boots. I parted my hair in two ways half up in two buns and the rest down curled. I ended finding myself back in the ball room to see everyone standing around while Magnus was playing the piano. His sister was right he needed a little help not that much but some of his notes were off. 

James was the first to noticed I was in the room he avoided my eyes and just kept his gaze on Magnus mark. I know this must hurt him to see it but what done is done. Soon his mark will be on the other side, has to be by the end of the week. I looked at his eyes and he had them closed and was breathing hard, Ugh why does this have to be so difficult. 

"Hey Ariel, how did you sleep?" Amare asked bringing me back to reality. I looked over to her to see her smirking at me. I rolled my eyes at her and looked over at Magnus giving her an answer. "I slept alright, thank you for asking." I saw Magnus smile like he was remembering our long night. Smirking he looked up at me and winked making me blush like a tomato. I closed my eyes taking in deep breathes trying to calm myself down before walking over to James. I grabbed his hand smiling trying to get him to look at me. When he finally looked at me I nearly broke with how hurt he looked. "How are you?" I asked. I could see his nose flare up and his eyebrows scrunch up together. "Fine." was all he said. 

"He is upset about us mating, he wanted to be the first. Give him some time, he will come around." I heard Magnus in my mind. I gave James a sincere look knowing that wouldn't help as much but I ended up hugging him though. He hesitated for a minute before finally embracing me. He put his head in the crock off my neck where his mark is supposed to be and took a big inhale. "I'm sorry, I'm just stressed." He said sincere. All I did was nod my head and hugged him tighter. 

"Great Ariel your here, we can finally discuss my decision," I pulled away from James and turned around still leaning against him as he wrapped his arms around me. 

"So it took a very long discussion with my children and our council but we have decided to join your fight. Your memories have taught us something and on what James said this is bigger then just the wolves. If we have a change to help stop them then we will, plus you are my sons mate he has chose to go fight with you with or without us. And if my son can make that decision without looking at all the outcome then I can respect that. We are there with you." He smiled big at me and I was grateful. I got out of James grip and went to give Colloco a hug and he stiffened and was surprised at my reaction. "Thank you." I told him pulling away. All he did was nod.
