book two: Ariel's Time

Chapter 2

Ariel's Pov

Finally arriving at the Lake House I saw that everything was already set up. I swear I hate when Zack does this. He knows I insist on helping out but still gets everything done before I could lift a finger. 

"Hey Ari, we already got everything set up so now all you have to worry about is those pretty little vocals of yours." He said with that little smirk I hate and love so much. He came over to me looking me up and down and smiled from ear to ear. "You look really good by the way." He hugged me kissing my cheek while I giggled at his weirdness. "I swear Zack Morgan I am going to hurt you one of these days. I told you I was going to help. You all shouldn't have to do this all by your selves. And you shouldn't exclude me because you don't think I should get my hands dirty. But, I am apart of this band just as much as you. I need to do my part babe. You can't always do everything for me..." I looked at him waiting for him to say something and he just nodded. I smiled and kissed him. "Lets rehearse shall we." He said pulling my hand to go on stage. 

We are doing a cover of 'I know what you did last summer.'  It was Zacks idea to have it as our opening song, having a little pop but chemistry to it.  He thinks it would grab the audience attention. I hope hes right we have been working so hard on this playlist for the night. Lets get to practicing!

Two hours later*

"Hey Ariana whats up?" I asked her over the phone. 

"Guess what sis, I found my mate!" She screamed excitedly.

"What! No way, thats amazing. Who is he?" 

"Hes the beta of the North Star Pack his name is Leon. How sexy is that." 

"That is amazing! It is sexy for you." I laughed. Ugh. I can't believe my little sister found her mate, oooh Troy is going to have a field day with this. 

"Ariana, have you told Troy yet?" I asked. It was silent on the other end for a good couple of minutes before she finally gave me an answer. 

"No not yet, your the first person that I have told. I have a feeling on how dad and Troy is going to act and I really just want to enjoy this just for a little while. I am going to find mom though and give her the news at least i know she wont act crazy. Also we are getting ready to head over there so good luck. Love you!" Giggling away she hung up the call. 

I am honestly happy for her, she has always dreamed of this moment. Wanting the same thing mom and dad has, and I am going to guess her mate might be the lucky one in this scenario. 

"hey babe wanna go for a walk?" Zack asked coming in from behind kissing my neck. Oh that feels good. "I would love to my love, but I just got off the phone with Ariana she said everyone is heading this way. We won't have time." I turned around and wrapped my arms around his neck and his around my waist. "I have something else in mind." He said looking at my lips. I smiled and looked up at him and whispered "Well what might that be." Pushing myself a little closer to him till he finally embraced his lips on mine. He growled under his breath as I pushed him over to the couch scrambling on top of him. I felt my dress go up a little but thankfully my butt was still covered. We started to get a little heated when i heard my brother making a disturbing noise interrupting us. 

"Ariel Elizabeth! Warning next time, please. And why on goddess name are you wearing that dress?" Troy growled. 

I growled in annoyance while Zack laughed in amusement. "Troy you have no say on what I wear." 

"Ariel its short! Not to mention its strapless at least put a damn jacket on. These un-mated wolves wont be able to keep their eyes off you." He said. 

"Mom said the dress was fine, she is the one that helped me picked it out to begin with. So back off Troy!" Troy looked in shock when I told him mom picked out the dress and in that moment my entire family walked in. 

"Mom did you seriously let Ariel wear that dress. It is not appropriate for the newcomers, I am going to be hurting a lot of boys tonight for not keeping their eyes to themselves. God why did I have sister, they are such a pain." 

"Oh stop it Troy, your sister looks fantastic. If you weren't so protective you wouldn't be feeling like this now would you." My mother winked at me as she came in for a hug and I laughed at Troy who was stumbling for words. 

"Baby girl you look amazing." My father chimed in from behind my mother. 

"Thanks dad." I gave a look to Troy and stuck my tongue out at him and he walked away defeated. 

"Ariel, babe we need to get ready. Everyone is nearly here, we need to be on that stage when the Alpha's arrive." I nodded grabbing Zack's hand as he pulled me away. I waved goodbye to my family and all of them hollowed back a good luck or break a leg. Not literal. 

We got on the stage and I looked out to the crowd and saw thousands of people. There is more then what I anticipated there to be. And not everyone is here. I cant do this.  

"Hey what's wrong?" Zack asked grabbing my arms to stop me. 

"That is too many people Zack, I can't do this!"

"Hey, come on now. This isn't the girl I know. You are brave, and strong. So what if thousand of eyes are on you. They will love you, because you worked hard for this. And that voice of yours is a beast wanting out. So you roar, let it out. Show them what you can do, don't be scared to roar. You cant keep that talent of yours hidden forever. Tonight is the night you shine!" 

I looked over to my uncle Jeff walking over to the mic and started speaking to the crown. No fear, no stuttering and no backing out. I can do this, face my fears. I nodded at Zack and he smiled hugging me giving a small peck on the lips. 

"Now everyone give a warm welcome to my Niece Ariel and her bandmates." My uncle Jeff said clapping his hands. 

We walked out on the the stage smiling and waving at everyone and everyone clapped away. I got this!

"Hello everyone I am so thrilled you could all make it and I would like to give another round of applause for the North Star Pack. Thank you for being here, we welcome you with open arms. This first song if for you!" Everyone started clapping as I went to Zack who started playing the guitar. 

"ahh, hey-ey"
