book two: Ariel's Time

chapter 15

Ariel Pov

We are about thirty min from North Dakota, and after our fight the plan ride was a very quiet one. I didn't dare to be the one to apologize first because this isn't my fault. If he would have talked to me like a civilized person the argument would have never happened. I wish Troy was here with me right about now he always knows what to say. "We could always mind-link him, no one would be able to ease drop if we did that." Mya suggested. "God this is why I love you." She laughed at my little comment and went back to the back of my mind. "Hey, Troy you there?" I mind-linked him. It took a few minutes before he finally responded. 

"Hey sis, you ok?" 

"Yea, I just needed someone to vent too. Me and James kind of got into it."

"What do you mean kind of? It either you did or don't." He laughed at my little growl. 

"Ok we fought, he ignored me the entire ride to the pack house and during packing time and when I finally asked him what was wrong he completely shut me out. So I did magic on the suitcases making the clothes go everywhere. I told him that if he was going to be like that I was going to see the vampires on my own and that if I wanted someone to control me like a possessive little bitch I would have stayed home. He didn't like that very much," 

All I could hear was laugher on his end, and it never once died down. I don't even think he stopped to take a breather.

"Troy come on, no time for laughing. Anyways after i said that I tried to leave but he didn't let me. He went on about how I need protection because Aamon is trying all his hardest to get to me and he will not let that happen bla, bla." 

"Ariel it honestly just sound like he is being a good mate just wanting to make sure your ok. There is nothing wrong with that. Besides, this is a good thing as least you know he wont run in the other direction when it comes to danger." 

"That is not the point Troy. He needs to understand is i could protect myself, and he also has to respect that. Yes it is ok to be protective over me, but there is a big diffrence on wanting to protect me as my equal, from seeing me as weak and not being able to protect myself."

"I get your point, but I also get his. You both really just need to sit down together and talk it over like adults. It sounds like just a big misunderstanding to me." 

I hate when he has a point. 

"I guess, ugh, next topic please. Have you gone to see the witches yet?" 

"No we leave tomorrow morning. Uncle Jeff is hoping you would succeed first tonight before he goes to the witches." 

Before I could answer him I felt the plan starting to land. I looked out the window and we were indeed landing. It was down pouring pretty violently and I'm surprised the pilot flew in this. 

"OK, we will see. Any who, I will let you go we have just landed and we are heading to the vampires. James is going to send a scout a head of us to let the vampires know we will be there soon." 

"OK be safe sister, love you talk to you later." And with that our link was cut short. I am kind of glad I got Ariana to agree to do the spell again to be able to see their exact location.  So that safe a lot of down time for all of us. I got up and grabbed my bag pulling my hoodie out putting it on over my head. 

"You should wear a thicker jacket." I heard James from behind me breaking the silence between the two of us. Ignoring him, I put my suitcase on the floor rolling outside of the plane. Handing my suitcase to one of the warriors I hopped into the SUV. James ended up not being to far behind me hopping in the back seat next to me. He gave the driver the directions and we took off.
