"Minho, I need water. I think I am dying." a very dramatic Mia panted like a dog.
The weather was nice and warm, as it always was around this time of the year. The sun was brightly shining, with not a hint of clouds covering the beautiful blue color of the sky. Unfortunately for Mia, this was not the time to admire the nature's beauty. For her, the weather was torturing hot and the sun was piercing and burning her eyes as she and her friends made their way further up in the mountain.
She was in desperate need of a cool breeze and a iced mojito, preferably served on the beach, while she self-tanned her body.
Instead, she was bound to get a sun burn, dehydrate like a raisin and exhaust her jelly legs, hiking up the hills of Positano.
When she barged into Olivia's room this morning, dragging her off her bed and yanking her sketchbook off her hands to tell her they were all going for hiking, she never knew things could be this dreadful.
Poor Olivia. To say that she was startled when Mia appeared in her room out of nowhere, would be an understatement. Before, she was peacefully sketching her beloved cat, while Boblizabeth had made herself comfortable on her lap.
Olivia's thoughts were all over the place after last night's incident. And normally, when her mind was malfunctioning, she would always find herself sketching. And that's what she had been doing. Sketching.
Although, this time it wasn't a sketch of defined arms and piercing eyes. No. These human parts had never been drawn by her hands again for five years. Instead, she was sketching everything around her. This time, it was her cat.
She was scared to rewind the incident that occured in the elevator. She was terrified at the thought. Either that, or her heart was beating abnormally fast and that scared her.
Hard as she might, Chan would always crawl back in her thoughts. Just the idea of him, was making her feel all sorts of emotions. From anger to embarrassment to heart-fluttering to longing and back to anger.
It was a roller coaster of emotions to say the least.
It was mentally exhausting her, hence she tried hard to just think about the date with Nick. And only that.
Although, there wasn't much to think about. She knew that Nick and her couldn't become something more than friends. There wasn't much chemistry between them. Nick was a very kind and nice guy, almost a little too kind and nice for her liking.
The date was alright, as Olivia has said so herself to Boblizabeth the time she returned to her room. Nick behaved like a gentleman and treated her with respect. He was mostly talking about his life in Germany, his peaceful college years and non-existent love life.
He was the nerdy-type of guy, which Olivia didn't entirely hate. She actually found it cute, but it was just about that. She couldn't see him more than a guy friend. And she hoped the same went for Nick as well. She wouldn't want to give him false hopes.
Nick was smart, he could understand this much himself. He had already told Olivia that he stood no chance against the other two beasts. And Olivia felt grateful for that.
Everything was going perfectly, only until the moment a dreadful word escaped Nick's lips last night.
"I'm not a cat person." he had told her.
And from that moment on, Olivia dropped him.
Well, not literally, but she felt as if she liked him a little less when he said that.
