Today I was abrutly woken up by a furious knock on my door and the stressful voice of Mia, calling out my name for help. It would be a lie if I didn't say that I was regretting staying to a room that was literally two doors away from her. The girl had come up to me this early in the morning to announce me that I was going to do the wedding cake testing instead of her and Minho, because apparently, they have other responsibilities to take care of for the day.

And of course, as I've said this a thousand times, being single sucks if you have your bridezilla best friend burdening you with her wedding responsibilites as her maid of honor.

I'm seriously having nightmares of a running Mia in her wedding dress, screaming my name like a police siren in my dreams lately.

But it's okay. At least I can spend my morning stuffing my face with cake and getting diabetes type two. Probably die from high sugar level as well. But as I said, it's alright. At least, my death will be sweet.

At first however, I was hesitant to take such huge responsibility alone. I know Mia's taste in food and dessert, but I hardly know Minho's, so I tried to refuse. However, it appeared that our little bridezilla had already thought of that and reassured me that for Minho's taste, she will send one of the guys to help me out. So, it seems like I will, thankfully, not be alone to this. I'm assuming it will be Felix, since Minho trusts him the most with food. Surprisingly enough, both of them have developed and interesting talent in cooking. I wasn't aware that the two were keen on baking and cooking for quite a while, but when I tried Felix's brownies and Minho's beef wellington, I was left speechless to say the least. Nevertheless, Felix is the most suitable and I hope he will be the one available for this.

"Hey, Mia. Is this the right place?" I was currently standing outside a cake bakery, that much to my surprise existed in such a small place as Positano. I had taken a picture of the shop and sent it to Mia to make sure I was in the right place. Even though, I doubt there would be any other cake bakeries here.

"Yes, that's the one." the girl replied from the other line after seeing the picture. "Text me whenever you are done deciding, okay?" she said and I hummed in agreement. "Oh and...Um, good luck.... Gotta go now, bye!"

"Wh-" before I was even able to respond, Mia had already hung up the phone.

Good luck on swallowing my single-ness with cake? Well, okay then.

I took a deep breath in and stepped inside the bakery. The sweet smell of vanilla and baked goods instantly hit my nostrils. I was left salivating at the sight of all the cakes and desserts around me, that were delicately displayed around the cute shop.

Dragging my feet towards the register, I was greeted by a sweet young lady around my age. "Buongiorno miss. How may I help you?" she put on a sweet smile, warm and welcoming. There was still the Italian accent playing in her tongue, but her English pronounciation was pretty good.

"Uh, buongio..rno?" I nearly gave up, since my tongue couldn't roll the 'r' well. I cleared my throat and tried not to self-pity myself. "I'm here on behalf of Mia Thatcher and Lee Minho for the wedding cake testing. I'm the maid of honor and, Uh...a groom's man should be on his way here as well." I informed, making a move to look around me and search for Felix, but the young lady's cheerful tone prevented me from doing so.

"Ah, sí! The best man is already waiting for you, miss!"

Under other circumstances, I would have evaporated into thin air at the sound of the best man waiting for me for the cake testing. Beacuse the best man, damn him, was Chan. But I knew that I shouldn't overthink anything, since the girl wasn't fluent and she could have mistaken the term 'groom's man' and 'best man', so I remained calm. I coughed slightly and put on a smile.
