It was cold, the air, the ground everything was cold.
Including the woman that stepped out of the expensive car.
It was 10 in the evening and the press almost started to leave. Thankfully they caught her. She didn't even acknowledge them.
She kept her head up and her gaze board. It was like watching someone who had done this a thousand times.
Because in truth she had. Her small fur coat was left in the car. Yet she didn't even seem cold. At least on the inside.
When she made it through the doors that were opened for her she noticed the event was exclusive. Even so they let her right in.
Probably because they reconginised her. When the doors closed behind her she found herself walking through a corridor.
Then through another door. This time it was an entrance to a lounge. There were maybe 200 people spread about. So she blended in.
Finding the bar she called over the worker."Vodka on the rocks." The bartender nodded as her card was sat on the counter but it was slid back to her.
Tilting her head she rested her cheek on the palm of her hand. Tonight is supposed to be fun, but she's found herself moping in a lounge.
Just as she decided to drink until the sun came up she saw her soulmates. All of them. They were dressed up.
All of them were talking to someone. Her eyes narrowed. Then the class of her alchol was slid across the bar. Taking it she got up.
'Dont over react, don't over react, don't over-.' Her heart stopped. A pretty girl not over the age of 20 sat at the table.
Oh hell no. She was overreacting. Finding a seat next to them she looked at the poor soul sitting across from her.
It was a man. Probably a rich man. He seemed to just be enjoying the whiskey he sipped on, but that didn't stop his eyes from scanning her.
"Good evening how are you doing tonight?" She questioned her body shifted into a flirty posture. He didn't hesitate to feed into her.
"Well, but I would be doing better if you came over here sooner." As they flirted back and forth Camille felt eyes shift to them.
At first a few glances. Then stares, then the man across from her went silent."Call me." He said with a smirk before quickly leaving the table.
She grinned and nursed her third drink courtesy of Mr Rosett. That's when someone sat across from her.
"Oh Steve, I didn't know you were here tonight." She says with a fake look of innocence. Clearly she had known all along.
"Look Camille there's no reason for this, we were going to head to you right-" Camille didn't even let him finish.
"After you finished interviewing my replacement. Right, look im not angry im enjoying myself I had no idea you would be here, you should understand that everything is not about you."
With that she stood and smiled."Have a good Christmas Eve babe, and just maybe ill get to have a good one too."
She says with a soft smile before walking off a with of sway in her hips. "Why do your ideas always get me in trouble."
Steve says with a groan as he looked at Tony. Who couldn't keep his eyes of the blue dress that moved as Camille flirted with the bartender.
"I agree that this was a bad idea." James muttered before getting up to go talk to her. Eventually everyone realized what a shitty idea this was.
So the girl was sent off while they all drooled over the woman they hadn't seen in three months. Perhaps this wasn't the best way to do it.
