Chapter IX: Why are you here, Chloe?

After Sunny walked away, Chloe would be heading towards the organizations office to see what was going on. Why is it that when one of her friends is called in, they walk out with a whole new persona? It just didn't seem right to her.

Luckily for Chloe, both Mr. Alan and Mrs. Regna left early so she was able to search and scan for answers for as long as she wants and no one would catch her.

When she walked inside, she immediately saw the pile of applications in which Sunny and Diana had gone through. She shrugged it off and started searching. Chloe couldn't find much but she did find syringes and pills. That was.. strange.

That wasn't the only thing she found though. In the drawers, she found tons of letters from Diana and they were all the same thing. They were letters of Diana saying if Cleverly's gonna come back.

It seemed like the organization was ignoring all of those letters and kept it away in the drawers. Chloe also found a script of all the future morning announcements for Denise.

Finally, Chloe found everyone's records and personal information, including hers. She freaked out and wondered how the organization got everyone's information, especially the personal ones.

'Vincent Sin, year 5, work ethics: low'
'Jianhao Tan, year 5, work ethics: low'
'Diana Bakar, year 4, work ethics: average'
'Grace Chloe, year 4, work ethics: average'
'Denise Soong, year 5, work ethnics: high'

There was so much more information. Work ethics, home life, everyone's whole academic life and so much more! She read through most of them and some stuff seemed personal. Ren Yi Xiang and Diana are going through financial problems and Denise is dealing with a strict mother..

Why would they have this information to begin with? Chloe heard footsteps and she immediately put the records back to where it was and hid under the table. Chloe feared it'd be someone like Mr. Alan or Mrs. Regna but it was actually.. Diana?

What was she doing here? Diana gently closed the door and began quietly sobbing on the floor. Chloe felt bad seeing her friend like this. Even though they don't talk much like they used to, she still see's Diana as a friend.

Chloe rose up from under the table and walked over to Diana, who was still crying. "Hey.. Diana it's okay.. whatever you're upset about, I'm sure you'll get through with it eventually." Chloe said, trying her best to comfort Diana.

The sobs would quickly disappear and in a blink of an eye, in sight was nobody. What? Chloe swore she saw Diana. Was it all in her imagination-? Chloe sighed, put all the records in her bag and walked out.

As she was walking out, she saw Denise. She smiled and waved at her and Denise would exchange smiles with her. At least she was still herself. "By the way what's in your bag?" Chloe slowly turned around i'm nervousness.

"My- school supplies-?" Chloe answered in a confused tone. Denise crossed her arms and instructed Chloe to give the bag to her. Chloe thought about running but, she didn't want to be in more trouble with the organization so she gave her bag to Denise.

Denise would search inside the bag and, she saw the regular supplies for a student. Pencils, pens, notebooks, all of that. Chloe watched Denise search through her bag the whole time and she didn't see Denise pull out the students records.

"Oh there's nothing in here, my apologies Chloe!" Denise would hand Chloe her bag back. "Have a good rest of your day!!" Chloe waved bye and quickly ran off to see if the records were still in her bag and sure enough, they were.

Chloe sighed in relief and walked down the stairs, feeling good about herself. It was like the school heist but a solo mission. Hell it made her feel like she could've done the whole thing on her own.
