Clarke stood in front of me in shock. She turned around and saw the cages full of Grounders. She slowly walked down the row of cages until she spotted Anya.

"Anya?" she questioned. She looked back at me and then at Anya. Clarke messed with the lock on Anya's cage. "I'm gonna get you both out of here."

She stood up and started looking for something to break the lock on Anya's cage and found a metal tube. She broke it off the wall and went back to the cage.

She stuck it between the lock and tried to pry it open. When she broke it, she opened Anya's cage. "Ok, come on. Quick." She pulled Anya out of the cage but paused when the door behind me opened.

She pushed Anya back into the cage and crawled in. I closed my eyes and pretended to be unconscious. I heard the doctor walk past me, and her footsteps slowed as she walked by the cages. I slowly opened my eyes to see her walking past Anya's cage, but she didn't stay long before turning around and leaving the chamber.

Almost right away, Clarke pushed the cage door open and pulled Anya out. "Ok. We've gotta go. Now."

Clarke had one of Anya's arms around her shoulder as she came back to me. She helped Anya sit on the floor so she could remove the tubes from my body. Red blood came out of one side of my body and black blood came from the other.

Clarke ripped the wires connecting me to the machine, and the short beeps turned into a long one. She pulled a lever to lower me to the ground. Anya was able to stand on her own, but even with Clarke's help, I could barely stand. Anya's legs were shaky, so Clarke held both of us up, one on each side of her.

"You're ok," she said. She pulled us to a door that said END CONTAINMENT AREA.

She led us through the door and down the hall. We didn't know where we were going, and the hall led to a dead end, but before we could turn back, the door behind us closed. Clarke let go of me to try to pull it open, but she stepped back at the sound of an alarm.

"What is that?" Anya asked.

Clarke grabbed my arm when she saw how dizzy I was. "I don't--" The trapdoor beneath our feet opened and we slid down a garbage chute. We landed in a cart at the bottom.

I groaned in pain. Clarke lifted her head to look around, but it took too much energy for me. But I was still able to see the other bodies in the cart with us.

"Oh, my God," Clarke and Anya screamed.

Clarke sat up to try to get out. "Enyo! Take my hand." I reached my hand up and latched it with Clarke's. She used all her strength to pull me up and helped me out of the cart. Anya jumped out after us. She seemed to already be getting her strength back.

"Leave me here," I told Clarke. "I'll slow you down." I forced myself out of Clarke's grip.

"Enyo, I'm not leaving you here!" Clarke grabbed my arm. "I'm gonna get you home, and I'll come back for your sister and the rest of our people."

I froze. "Strisis? She's here?" Clarke nodded. "We have to go back. I don't want to leave without her."

I tried to turn around but Clarke wouldn't let me. "Enyo, you can barely walk. Let me get you home. If we have survivors from the Ark, we need to find them. They can help us, they can help you."

I felt like crying, but I knew that wouldn't help me in the situation. I reluctantly followed Clarke to find a way out. "Wait." Clarke ran to a pile of clothes and searched through them. "Come on, get dressed. We can't cover any ground like this."

"I won't leave my people behind," Anya argued, wanting to turn back like I did.

"Anya, listen to me," Clarke said. "My people are still inside that place, too. But they have guards. They have weapons. Once we get out of here, we can find help. We can come back--"
