Also, Wells was named after H.G. Wells, Clarke was named after Arthur C. Clarke, Bellamy was named after Edward Bellamy, and Octavia was named after Octavia Butler, so when I was creating my characters, I named Jules after Jules Verne. And Joan was named after Joan of Arc.

Season 3 - January 27th, 2150

Everything had been quiet since returning home from Mount Weather, and even after three months, I still had trouble adapting. Camp Jaha--now named Arkadia--didn't quite feel like home to me, even after everyone knew who I was, that I was from the Ark.

Kane stood at a board, a map of the territory. Abby sat at one end of the couch, fast asleep, while I sat at the other, trying to sleep. These three months have been busy, despite being at peace.

"Jules, you ok?" Kane asked me. I slowly looked up at him and nodded. He was worried about me. I'd devoted almost all my time to training with Anakin, and he's improved so much in the past three months.

We were interrupted when someone knocked on the door. I paid no attention to whoever was walking in, but Kane made sure they were quiet. "It's the first sleep the chancellor's had in two days," Kane said.

"I'll be quick, then. We're going into Sector 7," Bellamy told him. "I think we should arm the entire unit." I quickly sat up and stared at Bellamy. He was wearing a guard uniform, one that actually fit him.

"Permission granted. But the rules of engagement still apply. Nonlethal response."

"Bellamy, Sector 7 is right at Azgeda's border," I warned him and stood up. "They won't respect the ceasefire."

Bellamy nodded and turned around to the door. I sat back down trying once again to relax. "Bellamy. There hasn't been an attack since Mount Weather," Kane said. "It's three months. Our people believe that this is real peace. Try not to screw that up."

Bellamy nodded and smiled. "Yes, sir." He turned around and walked out.

I closed my eyes and tried to sleep, but then I heard Abby's voice. "He's come a long way," she said and sat up.

"It's a work in progress," Kane said, still keeping his voice down.

Abby sighed. "I was dreaming we were on the Ark. Before we sent the kids down." Abby paused for a moment. "Even before your daughters came down." I could feel Abby's eyes on me. "Jules is overworking herself. I don't remember the last time I saw her relax like this." I looked at Abby as she stood up.

Kane's words cut through the room, dissecting the silent atmosphere. "Well, that's what happens when someone tries to survive in a place for years that just wants them dead," he pointed out, his tone carrying a mix of acknowledgment and pride. "I'm proud of her." Even though no eye contact was exchanged, Kane was well aware that I had heard him.

I sat up once again and looked at Abby. She studied the map. "Maybe she's in Sector 7." For three months, Abby has been desperate to find Clarke. I was, too, but I knew she didn't want to be found.

"We could send out another search party," Kane suggested, a glimmer of hope in his voice.

Despite Abby's desire to embrace that optimism, she couldn't bring herself to agree. With a solemn shake of her head, she spoke, "They wouldn't find her, not unless she's ready to be found."

Footsteps reverberated outside, and Sergeant Miller emerged at the door. "Sir. Ma'am."

Abby shifted her gaze between Kane and Sergeant Miller, her thoughts lingering on the patients awaiting her attention. "I have patients to see," she declared, grabbing her jacket before making her way out of the room.
