"It's been three hours. What are they waiting for?" Bellamy asked growing impatient.

"Even with the light, I don't see anyone," Kane said. We looked through the windows frantically searching for Grounders. We were close to Azgeda's border, but we were still in Trikru territory. It didn't make sense what they were doing or why.

"I say we make a run for it," Monty suggested.

"No," Kane said. "That's what they want us to do."

"Monty's right," I told Kane. "They can wait longer than we can."

Kane sighed but didn't take his eyes off the window. "Ok, Bellamy. You get in the turret and you cover us. Once we get to that ridge over there," Kane said while pointing, "we'll cover you."

Bellamy nodded. "Copy that. Run fast." Bellamy climbed into the turret above us, and almost right away, he said, "They're here."

Monty and Kane aimed their guns through the turret. I peeked through, seeing the feet of someone else standing on the top of our rover. "Everybody out or the boy dies," a male voice said. Bellamy was pulled through the turret and thrown to the ground outside.

"Ok! Ok, we're coming out!" Kane yelled. He removed the strap of his gun from his shoulder. "Don't hurt him." He moved to the door looking hesitant. The moment he turned the handle, the door was forced open and we were all pulled out and thrown onto the ground.

A knee was placed on my back holding me down, and they took my bow, arrows, knives, and sword from me. "All targets secure!" the woman holding me down said.

A guy started walking toward Monty, and his device started to beep. They pulled Monty to his feet and started to search him until they found a device with a red light. "Found it," someone said. I hadn't been on the Ark in ten years, but I knew it had to be a tracking beacon from one of the stations. All 12 had one.

Monty struggled against the man's grip. "It's mine. Give it back!" Monty pushed.

"Monty, let it go!" Bellamy yelled.

"Monty?" the woman standing over me said. She removed her knee and stared at Monty recognizing who he was. And Monty apparently recognized the woman's voice.

"Mom?"

The woman pulled down her hood and removed her mask, staring with shock at Monty. They haven't seen each other in almost six months. The man let go of Monty, and his mom pulled him into a hug.

With no one holding me down, I pulled myself to my knees and reached for my weapons. Monty was in tears. He wasn't scared for his mom to see him in tears.

"Farm Station, stand down," a man said. I stood up and placed all of my weapons in their sheaths.

Kane looked up at the man and recognized him. "Pike?"

Charles Pike. I remembered being in his Earth Skills class. He was my favorite teacher, and his lessons were never dull. If it weren't for his class, I didn't think I would've survived this long on the ground. "You have no idea how good it is to see you," Pike said. He grabbed Kane's hand and pulled him to his feet.

"We didn't think you made it," Kane said.

"Lacroix, Smith, watch our six!" Pike said. "Everyone else, I said stand down."

People started taking their masks off, all of them seeming happy and excited to have found more Ark survivors.

"How many of you are there?" Kane asked Pike.

"63. The rest are camped in the mountains north of here. Grounder killers one and all. Am I right?" The people around us gave a chant that sounded almost as if it were rehearsed. Pike noticed me and definitely didn't recognize me as his former student.
