Okay, yes, I like Imagine Dragons. Sue me. Sorry about the intro at the beginning, but hey, it's like four seconds.
I realized some of you guys don't know how to pronounce 'stele' and since I pronounced it wrong for eight books, some of you probably are too. 'Stele' is pronounced 'ste-lay' with a long 'e'.

Derek knocked on the door bright and early the next morning. Dayton groaned and threw a pillow over his head. I rolled my eyes and got dressed in my gear. I then walked over to Dayton and hit him with my pillow.
"I'm up!" he yelled as he sat up so fast he hit his head on the backboard.
I laughed, which made Dayton punch me in the arm. In the same spot Grace Raine had hit me a couple times the night before. I had to use an iratze to get rid of the bruise.
"Get dressed. I imagine Praetor Scott wants us to leave as soon as possible."
"Yeah, yeah." I left the room before anything else could happen- let's just say that I'm not all that comfortable around mundanes.
"You're up early," was the Praetor's way of greeting me.
"Well, it's not like I could ignore the loud knocking. Besides, I'm a shadowhunter- we're trained to wake up early."
Praetor Scott shook his head. "And to that, I am still amazed. I'd sleep till noon every day if I was able."
The Praetor and I had been walking through the hallway near the rooms and we were then in the kitchen. "Where's Grace Raine?" I asked as all I could see in the kitchen was an empty table that could seat nearly six dozen.
"Derek said he'd wake her..." Scott replied looking back through the hallway.
Suddenly, Dayton was there- smack middle of the hallway.
"You seen Grace?"
Dayton rolled his eyes as he went and sat at the table. He leaned his chair back and put his feet up on the table. "Boy, I feel appreciated. But no, I thought she was already down here."
Praetor Scott growled as I muttered, "I thought she was too."
I looked back into the hallway to see Derek's figure starting down.
I thought of confronting him, but I decided to wait till he got into the kitchen. So he'd have to answer in front of all three of us.
"Where the hell is Grace?" I demanded as soon as Derek walked into the kitchen, only to realize that Grace was looking at Derek's back like she'd shred it.
"Right here," she growled as she quickly walked around Derek to lace her fingers in mine.
Praetor Scott stared daggers at Derek. "A word," he said, quite obviously holding back his anger.
When Derek and the Praetor left the kitchen, I took a seat next to Dayton and looked at Grace Raine. "So? What the hell did he do?"
Grace's fury disappeared instantly. "Whoa, calm down tiger. You've cussed twice in the past two minutes. You aren't secretly an Eidolon are you?"
I rolled my eyes. "Grace. Raine. Don't change the subject. What did he do to you?"
Grace growled. Her eyes turned almost black for a second, but then they were back to storm gray. "Nothing," she snapped.
Dayton got up from his seat and put his hand on my shoulder. "Don't provoke the wolf. I've known most of the guys here my whole life. If they get mad, you let them be."
