Grace
Well, we're back.
I can't believe he came here.
Who came here?
Dayton, why don't you tell Riley?
Sounds good to me... The one we can't stand, He always calls me Sun Boy, He talks like this daily.
Oh. Well, that can't be good; can it? No one's supposed to be able to find us...
Which is why we need to wrap this up.
It's your turn anyways, Grace, so-
I'll sit here, being ignored, and you'll tell your part. Then, we'll get as far away from here as possible.
I see your point, Dayton, but what am I supposed to do? It's not like-
I didn't have a point, but now I do: Tell your damn part before we're torn to shreds by hellhounds!
Way to be subtle.
He has a point, Riley. We've almost been killed four times today.
The fifth attempt will be successful!
I said I got your damn point, Dayton! Do you see me right now? I'm walking over to the damn recorder! Now I'm sitting down in front of it! I'm talking into the-
What the hell happened between you two?! No, actually, don't answer! Dayton, sit by the door and keep watch. If a hellhound comes here to rip us to shreds, I'm counting on you to dispose of it. Grace, from now on, ignore any and everything; you need to talk until the damn recorder can't hold any more information. Why are you two staring at me? Get moving!
So I'm sure this thing picked up on that conversation, but if it didn't, I won't tell you. Right, where am I starting?
Uh, Riley? I kind of need to know where you stopped...
Oh, sorry! We walked into the portal.
Thanks.
Oh wow, this part will be hard to tell... So as Riley told you, this huge black dog just disappeared, and that just doesn't happen. Then to top off the weirdness, a portal appeared out of nowhere! We walked into it without question, but I think it was simply because we were still in shock. Luckily for us, we weren't immediately killed on the other side.
"Glad to see you're alive," the warlock said, smiling as our eyes adjusted to the florescent light.
"We're glad we're alive too," Riley replied, squinting up at the warlock, trying to see if he recognized him.
"Well, it looks like I'm the only one who's not drooling over you, so I guess I'll be asking the questions. Who are you?" Dayton interrupted, as he had finished scanning the small carpeted room we were in.
Riley stopped staring at the warlock instantly. "How many times do I have to tell you that I'm not-?"
"Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean that I drool over every guy!" I snapped, cutting Riley off.
"I just call it like I see it," Dayton said, raising his hands in surrender. "It's not my fault that it seemed like you two were drooling over this hazel eyed guy!"
The warlock chuckled. "It seems that you finally have someone to put you in your place."
Riley and I both glared at him, but Dayton just nodded his head in agreement.
"Well, I suppose I should introduce myself to you," he inclined his head towards Dayton. "I'm Briar."
Dayton took Briar's outstretched hand and shook it. "I'm Dayton."
