Wilbur's POV

The whole way home my heart was in immense pain. Although, I'm glad we were at least friends I still loved her. I loved her very much. She was the first person who I met who didn't really see me as just a famous person, but the person I was. She made me happy.

I wish I could have told her that. I wish I could have told her how much she meant to me, but would it really even matter. She obviously didn't care. Why would it even be reasonable to do.

I ended up unconscionably going back to the bar and drinking an entire bottle vodka. The burning in my throat making the pain from my heart subside. A girl ends up sitting next to me. She had brown hair and hazel green eyes. She was so pretty. He hair was tangled a little and she looked tired.

"Picture?" She says.

"Oh, sorry," I say. "I didn't mean to stare."

"It's fine," she whispers. "I didn't mean to snap. I've just been having a really bad day. I'm guessing you too considering that completely empty bottle of vodka beside you."

"Yeah," I say.

"Break up," she asks.

"Something like that," I say looking away.

"Rejection," she breathes in. "That hurts so much worse."

"Yeah," I say.

"Totally relatable," she whispers. "It definitely takes a toll on a person."

I nod in agreement, "Was she at least worth it?"

I look over at her. I looked her in her eyes and nod my head, "She was worth the world."

"Then why are you moping?" She asked.

The music in the pub changes to Airplanes due to the karaoke machine in the corner. We sat in silence as the song played. Finally, I spoke again.

"She...she didn't feel the same, or at least that's what she said," I whisper.

"She's lying," she whispers as she takes a sip of her drink the bartender drops down in front of her.

"What makes you say that?" I ask.

"As a female I can say you are very attractive, " she says. "Very attractive. In a weird fluffy way. You look like one of those soft boys. To say she knows you and doesn't have any feelings for you is like saying you were never even friends in the first place."

"She obviously doesn't want to say anything," she says. "Did you guys ever..."

She trails off and my eyes go wide, "No, nothing like that."

"Oh...okay," she says.

"She's kinda...never...yeah," I say.

"She's a..." she looks at me with a shocked expression.

I quietly nod, "No wonder she means so much to you."

"What?" I say.

"Guys, like things like that," she says. "Not saying you're like other guys because you're most definitely not in this state. I'm saying that she means a lot to you because obviously you have a connection to her innocence."
