NEWT HAD A CERTAIN HEAVINESS in his heart due to the bereft ending of their last conversation, where he wanted to confess everything to her, while the two of them ran onto the scene. Eden frowned at the two poles that stood at the maze doors, not a typical factor of the banishment that had her confused. She was rather oblivious to the disheartened look on Newt's face as her mind had gone straight into plan mode. The two of them, as discussed, stood at the side of everything going on. One so they were out of the way and two so no one caught onto the fact that Eden had a bag on her shoulders. That would be rather suspicious, given it was not normal for her at all "This is such a waste," Gally sighed dramatically, staring at both Thomas (who was laying on the floor, seemingly still unconscious) and Teresa as they both stood infront of the poles.

"Gally," Winston called out, grabbing the attention of everyone in the Glade. Eden's throat tightened, wondering if Winston was about to betray them also. She had little faith in anyone at that point, maybe due to the stress or the nature of Gally's betrayal. "It doesn't feel right, man. What if Thomas is right?" Winston continued, sending a sweeping relief through Eden's system despite the seriousness of the situation. They weren't in the clear yet but they felt closer than before, to her anyhow.

"I don't wanna have to cross any more names off that wall," Gally dismissed quickly, turning back to the poles.

"You really think banishing us is going to solve anything?" Teresa protested, looking warily to Eden in the back. She and everyone else were awaiting a signal from her or Newt, depending on how the situation went.

"No. But this isn't a banishing. It's an offering," Gally responded while once again crossing his arms over his chest. He thought it made him look powerful when in reality it just made him look overly arrogant. She watched as the three guards of Thomas and Teresa began to tie her to the pole, despite her wriggling and verbal protestments. "You really think I'm gonna let Thomas back into the Maze after what he's done? Look around you!"

"That seems to be his catchphrase at this point," Eden whispered to Newt, leaning toward him slightly at the risk of anyone else hearing their conversation. A small grin formed on his face, one which was immediately wiped away and hidden. As this occurred, Eden turned toward Minho and nodded indiscreetly, the signal of her approach. She looked over her shoulder and saw Chuck walking into the area, bags over his shoulder along with multiple weapons.

The two of them returned to whatever Gally was spewing just as he yelled, "When the Grievers get what they came here for, everything goes back to the way it was!"

"Oh yeah?" Eden responded, stepping closer toward him. The second step of their plan, the signal to Thomas. "And how do you know that? The Grievers could come back here until you're all dead, they don't just want Thomas, Gally."

"Shut up Eden, or your next," Gally snapped, small gasps erupting from people within the crowd. Gally turned back to the poles and ordered, "Tie him up. Do you hear me? I said tie him up!" Two people scooped up Thomas by his arms, hauling him up to a position where she could be tied to the pole. That did not occur though as Thomas sprung to life, elbowing one of the Gladers in the stomach while he grabbed the other weapon and used it to knock him out also. Eden pulled a knife from her back and put it to Gally's throat, since she happened to be closest. The others on their side fought off the others on Gally's side as Chuck ran onto the scene. All eyes in the Glade were on Eden as she turned Gally around by use of the knife as she slowly backed toward the others at the maze entrance.

"You're full of surprises, aren't you?" Gally scoffed, watching the collection of people in front of him.

"You don't have to come with us but we are leaving. I suggest you all come too but it's your choice. This is your last chance if you do want to join us," Eden responded half threateningly, pausing for the approach of people who wanted to join also.

"Don't listen to her, she's trying to scare you," Gally protested, keeping his voice persuasive so others were more likely to follow him.

"I'm not trying to scare you, you're already scared. And so am I. I don't know the future but I do know that our best bet for survival is leaving the Glade. It's a risk, yes but the probability of surviving out there is much higher than in here," she replied, completely ignoring Gally's protesting looks and hums at this point. She watched as people looked around the Glade, looking somewhat persuaded toward her points.  "We don't belong here, we never have. This is just a place of survival that people trapped us in, not our home," she trailed off into silence and everyone watched as various people crossed over to their side, starting with Winston who smiled at her brightly.

Slowly, they turned around to the maze and started walking into it. Eden turned last, looking forlorn at all the people they were about to lose. She looked to see Newt staring up at the walls whilst he walked quickly, limp becoming more prominent than ever.

"Are you going to be okay? With your limp and...everything?" she whispered as they all began to run into the maze.

He nodded not so persuasively just as a Griever chittering echoed through the Glade. Each person's grip on their weapons tightened as they progressed into the maze, beginning a journey that not all of them would make it out alive.
