Why? (Depressed Eren X Captain Levi)

**Levi**
The sun had set meaning everyone will begin to slack off meaning my current assignment is to make sure everyone is doing what they are told, finish cleaning the rooms.

I entered the last floor of our building looking in each room for slackers, but none had appeared. As I approached the last room I heard nothing but complete silence and that pissed me off. I began to speed walk towards the door in anger, not thinking twice as I barged into the room, only to discover a fellow scout of mine.

The fellow scout is Eren; he had fallen asleep while cleaning. He looks so peaceful while this room looks.. Huh? It's all clean except for the one spot on the floor that was set next to the broom's bristles.

He sure got skill when it came to cleaning... Though the clean room wasn't the only thing that had surprised me, I was quite franked at first. Eren sleeping on his own is a rare sighting. Soon he won't need me and he can move on forwards...

I walked up to him, close enough to hear his breathing. I stood there taking advangent of the situation to admire his features more, his beautiful turquoise eyes being covered by his lids, his semi-dark eyebags that will soon fade away, his light pink lips slightly apart, his warm clear skin shining due to the lighting...

I placed my hand on Eren's left cheek, my cold palm began to heat up due to his warmth, I rubbed my thumb across his lips and wondered how they would feel on mine... "Damn.. I must be losing my mind...!" I said quietly as I began to realize my actions.

I pulled my hand away as I felt my hand starting to tingle as the warmth that was once there was now gone. Out of frustration, I grit my teeth trying to get a hold of my odd actions.

What's wrong with me today..!

I let out a sigh as I placed my hand on Eren's shoulder and gave him a slight nudge, his eyes opened slowly and revealed his bright turquoise eyes but his eyes then closed causing him to fall back asleep. He was clearly drained out.. I once again gave Eren a nudge but this time a bit harder than the last one, "Eren... I can finish up here, go get some sleep." I said as I grabbed the broom from his hand so he wouldn't drop it. Eren stood up straight, placed his fist over his heart, muttering the words 'yessir'. Eren walked out of the room slowly and muttered something to me, "Thank you, Levi.."

Lev..., huh?

A small click came from the door as I closed it completely. I turned to see Eren peacefully sleeping, I sat down next to his cot and stared a bit more.

Moments passed and I soon snapped out of my dazed and decided time for the lights to be out. I changed into my nightwear and made my way to my cot.

As I was finding a comfortable spot to sleep in I once again caught myself in a daze staring at Eren but only this time I allowed myself to watch. The room slowly gotten darker and less visible as my eyes began to feel heavy. I have Eren another glance before shutting my eyes.

**Eren**
The sunlight hit my eyes causing me to wake up and become blind for a slit moment as I tried to adjust to the bright lighting.

I sat up on my cot, stretching my muscles as I felt refreshed.

By the way the sun is shining, it seems it is still too early for anyone to be awake, even Captain hasn't woken up.

I let out a quick sigh as I noticed how dirty the room is, I got up and looked around for the cleaning supplies.

Captain would get angry if I stay in bed while the room was dirty.

I placed all the supplies I needed in front of me but due to all of my current energy, cleaning seemed like a boring task.

I sighed knowing my current emotional status will affect the way I clean, I sat on the floor with my cleaning supplies as I was thinking of a solution to make cleaning fun.

I tapped my index finger on my chin as I hummed quietly and repeatedly. Time felt so limited cause not knowing when the Captain will wake up was suspenseful.

A few hums later I stood myself up and rushed towards my belongings. Quietly skimming through my belongs looking for my CD player that my father had given me.

I lifted some old clothes that were ripped and torn and beheld my eyes there. It was my CD player.

I skimmed through the songs looking for one that lightens the mood. While flipping through I found the right song, coffee.

I placed the disc inside the player before heading back to the room. I stood and analyzed the room, studying what needs to be done.

I soon then place the headphones onto my head affecting my hearing to be muffled and soon replaced with the song's melody.

I picked up a cloth and spray bottle containing glass wax and began to clean the windows that had collected small specks of dust.

As I moved my head in a circulation motion, I sang along with the music getting caught up in the moment causing me to raise the volume of my voice.

I quickly shut my mouth and turned my head to see if Captain had awaken.

I soon turned my attention back after finally convincing myself that the Captain is still in his slubber.

Looking at the last spot of dust that was on the window before wiping, a light reflection of myself appeared on the window.

I stared at my reflection as I analyzed ky own features when a small blurry figure appeared behind my reflection.

I shot my head behind me to see the blurry figure belonged to the Captain.

My tense body soon relax, i put my supplies aside and I went to greet the Captain a good morning.

I made my way toward the Captain and stopping, leaving a good amount of space in between us.

I placed one hand that was is a fist over my head and the other behind my hand as I stood up straight.

"Good morning, Captain" I said as he gave nod in response

"At ease" he said restlessly

I let out a small chucked as I notice the mess morning hard he had, in response of my laughter the Captain gave me a confuse look.

I assume he's trying to figure out my odd burst of laughter, "Your hair is really messy, looks nice though!" I said as I continued to let out small chuckles.

"If you think my hair is bad you should take a look at your kid." The Captain said as he pointed toward the bathroom mirror.

I looked at Captain as I stood their in disbelief. The Captain looked away cause me to sulk. Although I may be sulking I'm also getting my revenge.

The Captain then turned his attentions back toward me, he once again turned his attention away, looking at his surroundings. As quickly as he turned away he turned back just as quick before he hesitantly place his hand on head; softly his fingers ran through my hair.

My sulking soon went away as I now felt relaxed and calm, "Alright kid, time to get ready," The Captain said as he pulled his hand out of my hair.

The Captain turned and went toward our bedroom to get dressed for the day
