Third Person POV

"Alright guys...uhm- and girl. I hate to say this, but fleeing seems like the only option." Gareth whispered in the party's huddle. Eddie, who was dungeon master, waited patiently in the back, taking a few glimpses at Veronica's ass as he waited for them to come up with their plan. He couldn't help himself, he couldn't even believe she was here in his dungeon...playing in his party...for the Cult of Vecna campaign. Looking at her ass in his dungeon was surreal to him...and he knew he would definitely be looking back on it later tonight.

Veronica had now taken her hair down, being she couldn't stand the pain of having it up so tightly anymore. Eddie liked her better with her messy hair. He liked her better as herself, this whole weird persona thing kind of bothered him. Not because he thought she was any less beautiful, but because he knew she didn't like it and that it wasn't her. He didn't like the influence Tiffany Frasier was on her. He wanted her to be herself...the girl he first saw on Hallway B.

As they played, Eddie found himself insanely turned on by Veronica's talent for D&D. She was smart. She did what she had to and never looked back. Eddie admired that about her.

"Didn't we just agree 'to the death'?" Veronica asked, annoyed by Gareth's suggestion.

"That wasn't literal!" Gareth seethed, causing Eddie to raise an eyebrow. Eddie watched carefully, making sure the party didn't say the wrong thing to Veronica...he didn't want them to scare her away. They knew how much she meant to him...and if they ruined it, he didn't know how he'd react.

And Eddie was right, the club did know how much she meant to him. They didn't quite understand it, being that this is the first day that Eddie has even seen her, but they all knew Eddie only cared about one thing more than anything: D&D. They also took notice that Eddie had watched her the whole entire campaign, which was unlike him. Eddie always made D&D his number one focus, but right now, his number one focus was Veronica.

"Vecna just decimated us! We can't kill him with two players." Jeff stressed, looking at anybody for clues on what to do. He bit his lip, worried for how this campaign would turn out.

"You too? He only has 15 hit points left. Don't be pussies!" Dustin exclaimed, prepared to fight to the death. Like Veronica, he too did whatever he had to do. That's why Dustin was Eddie's favorite, he was a good kid.

Veronica also liked Dustin. She liked his funky style and his comedic comebacks. He didn't even know he was being funny, but he always was, no matter the situation.

"Pussies? Really? Cause we're not delusional?" Gareth shot back, nervous for the outcome.

"Delusional? How about not cowards?!" Veronica argued, causing Eddie to jump up.

"Hey! If I may interject, gentlemen, Roni the Reliable," Eddie began, causing everyone to turn around.

"So much for the reliable part." Gareth said under his breath.

Eddie clenched his jaw. "Silence!" He snapped, slowly standing up from his throne. He looked at each party member in the eye one at a time as he spoke.

"Whilst I respect the passion, you'd be wise to take Gareth the Great's concern to heart." He said hesitantly, quickly looking at Veronica to see her reaction. He felt relieved when she didn't react, but instead listened to him. He liked how he listened to her, even if it wasn't what she wanted to hear.

"There is no shame in running," He continued. "Don't try to be heroes. Not today, kay?" He finished with a smile. Veronica watched his lips carefully as he spoke. If you'd ask her about it, she would argue that she was just trying to make sure she was hearing his words correctly, but somewhere deep down there was a real reason, she just didn't know it yet.
