Remember how we used to eye the boys in high school
Do you remember how we thought we were so cool?
Every memory that I have of us as children is so clear
And you are always front and centre, trouble very near
At College we made a pact that we would always stay
Each other's best friends through thick and thin we prayed
Cappuccinos on the table, French fries and onion dip
It was the last time I ever saw you, before that fatal trip...
Many days has passed since then and plenty lonely fires
Jack Daniels talks my language now, the world's mud on my tires
I hear your voice in every song; see your face in all the crowds
I know you'll share with me a double cappuccino in the clouds
Well I watch my children play and wander what you are doing
High up in the heavens while I'm plotting and pursuing
Are you laughing at my failed attempt to keep our dreams alive?
Of two young girls to rule the world and fly the unknown skies?
I saw Mark just the other day he's still as beautiful as ever
Remember you professed your love and said you'd be with him forever
Some days when the rain comes down in those dark and stormy skies
I know that he still misses you, I see the sorrow in his eyes
Many days has passed since then and plenty lonely fires
Jack Daniels talks my language now, the world's mud on my tires
I hear your voice in every song; see your face in all the crowds
I know you'll share with me a double cappuccino in the clouds
May I never go a single day without remembering you my friend
You're still my good weather day until the bitter end
