We always hear those stupid lines
In movies and romantic rhymes
They're all clichés and yet it took
Not much for us all to get hooked
No matter how bizarre they sound
We don't forget especially a second time around
Because sometimes just a poet's word
Can turn a pen into a sword
Frankly my dear I don't give a damn
Go ahead make my day
Toto, we're not in Kansas anymore
They're all stuff that dreams are made of
Instead of showing me the money
ET has to phone home, not funny
You're giving my depression a depression
If you can't handle the truth, it's a session
And you owe me a dollar, you had me at hallo
All the great lines from movies romantic and sallow
Remind us of something, someplace we want to be
Some adventure we craved or a wonder to see
Yet we live for some day in future we wish
Things on a bucket list, tasting a foreign dish
That we miss all the wonders in our journey and track
So here's looking at you, kid. Live a little, I'll be back
