I understood the outcome
I acknowledge the reprieve
That bore my fate so lonesome
The goals that you achieved
By taking pardon on my memoirs
And absconded from the link
Between my future and my past
And brought me to this brink
Of absolution and forgiveness
And all in which you had a part
By forcing me to pray, confess
The deepest desires of my heart
Yet still I watch you every day
Your glasses prissy on your nose
The monotone of voice and grey
hair that forms the optimum of your pose.
So restricted and controlled your bearing
That guides me through this journey's course
To form a healthy, strong and caring
Human in its everlasting force
Yet sometimes in a moment
I see the man inside your heart
When you forget to cover and defend
Where human stops and guidance start
Is there a lonely man in your lair?
That wishes for a sharing hearth
Where fires burn and passion flair
And a silly cat that makes you laugh?
Or are you egotistically self-controlled
And in no need for anyone
While guiding lost and frighteningly cold
Souls to peace and a little fun?
So Doctor tell me if you please
Are you strong enough to bear this slog?
Or are you just as human and at ease
When princes always turn to frogs?
