Outside the storms and blowing
Wind rattles shatters like stones
As if the heaven keep throwing
All life's madness on our home
Tomorrow the sun will shine anew
And I am so fortunate, I get to love you
Sometimes you hurt me, you forget where I've been
The heartaches and battles, things I have seen
You rip at my insides, you claw at my soul
You dig in your spade where there's already a hole
Yet somehow I forgive you, I keep fighting through
Whatever the misfortune, I get to love you
You leave me alone, thousand miles at a time
I care for the home, I stand the grocery line
You neglect to phone me, to say you are okay
I worry, I cry and mostly I pray
I write away the hurting, chase away the blues
Whatever life brings, I get to love you
Maybe today, tomorrow, who knows
You'll recover your suitcase, take your passport your clothes
You'll leave me behind, the kids and the dogs
Chase your unfounded dreams against all odds
I know that I'll break, again face the truth
So many years that we had that I got to love you
