After Riddle had left dramatically and broodily, I grew dangerously bored.

Laying in bed and staring at the ceiling eventually got devastatingly dull and it was not long before I tried and attempted several times to climb out of bed. At first, my endeavours were futile. But a determined me was a stubborn me, so without calling for Riddle's aid— Merlin forbid I would ever do that—, I managed to get up and stand on my two legs successfully. The room around me started spinning immediately and I decided to ignore the fact that my limbs were wobbly and I was terrifically unstable.

Just as I was about to take my first step since being injured, I heard a heavy, disappointed sigh. And when I looked up, I noticed Riddle had magically appeared from the living room and now stood leaning against the doorframe of the bedroom. His shirt was still left unbuttoned and his appearance still looked messy but I begrudgingly admitted to myself that I liked this laid-back look on him. It was a nice change from the perfect preppy Riddle I was used to seeing every day.

Through the pain, I smiled innocently at him like a child who got caught stealing candy, yet much to my dismay he remained unimpressed and if anything he glowered even more.

"I did not waste my time healing you so you can kill yourself by tripping over your own feet." He scowled. "Get back in bed." He voiced the command like a threat and were I anyone else, I would have obeyed and jumped back under the sheets without a second thought. But I stood my ground and rose a single brow in reply.

His scowl deepened and he pushed away from the door to approach me. "You are the most insufferable person I have ever met." He muttered under his breath as he tried to push me back into the bed by shoving me down on my shoulders. In turn, I held on to his shirt, refusing to back down. His glare intensified at the action.

"Come on, Riddle. I am bored out of my head here. At least take me to the living room so I can sit in front of the fireplace or something." I tried to reason with him.

"No."

"Fine, then I will walk myself."

"Brat." He muttered under his breath. "It has not even been a week and you have managed to irritate me to death."

I frowned because he was not budging. It seemed I had met my match because Riddle was just as ridiculously stubborn as I was and I did not like being bested. So I came up with a brilliantly terrible idea.

"I will let you ask me one question. Any question and I will answer. Just take me there." I offered, knowing he would not miss this opportunity. I was cognizant of the fact that I was an unsolved mystery for him, and I knew he had questions that he wanted to know the answers to. So using his curiosity and thirst for knowing everything, it was only natural for me to use it to my benefit.
