"Arwen, wake up!"

I shot up from my bed at the alarmed voice, irritated at the intrusion since I was rather enjoying my sleep, and looking around to see Theodora looking at me with wide, frantic eyes. Before I could fire my questions, she snatched the duvet from my body, causing the crisp morning air to hit my bare skin.

"All of us are going to be late! Walburga forgot to set the alarm!" She explained, shooting a glare at Walburga at the end. I did not need to be told twice, for I bolted out of my bed and into the bathroom, hastily freshening up before coming out. As I was putting on my skirt, my dormmates halted their motions and looked at me curiously.

"What?" I asked, hand moving to my head subconsciously in order to check if they were staring at my unruly bed hair.

"If you literally fell from the sky...where is your trunk?" Greengrass broke the silence, cocking her head to the side in confusion.

My hands seized their movements in my hair and I chuckled before grabbing my wand. "Ever heard of a spell 'Reducio'?" I asked sarcastically, getting the tiny trunk from my bedside and reversing the spell. "Voila mes amies." I smiled triumphantly, gesturing to my now big trunk dramatically. They all stared for a moment before shaking their heads in amusement and continuing to get ready.

I brushed my hair and left it unbound to tumble in waved since I was quite satisfied with the neat curls of my hair. I pulled my robes over my head with a displeased expression before staring at the tie in my hands. "Why are we required to wear ties?" I groaned. "The uniform in Beauxbatons was not this hideous!"

Greengrass snickered before taking the tie from my hands and tying it around my neck gingerly, making it look identical to her perfectly tied one. Her fingers were quick and practised in the art of tying a tie, something I could never fathom since I never wore ties before.

"Thank you!" I smiled in gratitude and grabbed my bag. I looked around the room to see that everyone was ready to head out and we did not hesitate as we rushed out of the common room and almost sprinted to the Great Hall, our steps echoing loudly in the almost empty corridors.

The students were starting to leave the Hall in order to get to their classes when we sat at our house table at last. Abraxas who was seated beside Riddle looked up from his breakfast with an amused gaze.

"Did Walburga forget to set the alarm again?"

The girl smacked him on the arm harshly before reaching for a toast whilst the people around us snickered. I allowed my lips to curl into a small smile as well, enjoying the teasing that Walburga was receiving.
