YOUR POV

Callie has gone off to talk to Sofia's Dad and Teddy has left with Owen because their kids are tired so it's just me and Arizona at the table, me with Winnie on my lap. Jack's off talking to Ben and some of the other people here.

- Arizona : So, you and Jack are engaged. When's the wedding?

- y/n : We don't have a date yet. Whenever we get a date something happens with Winnie or in general. We're probably going to wait until Winnie's a bit older

- Arizona : Are there anymore children on the cards?

- y/n : I never planned to have children. I wanted to focus on my career. I love Winnie so much, she's my daughter, I always will love her. But I never saw myself as a Mom. You?

- Arizona : I work with kids so I thought my personal life would be the aspect without children. Sofia is my biggest blessing

- y/n : Yeah

- Arizona : She's so spoilt by all of us. I'm Mom, Callie is Mama and Mark is Dad. We're just waiting for the conversation of "Can I call Lexie Mom?"

- y/n : Have Mark and Lexie been together a while then?

- Arizona : Since the plane crash. Ages ago six of us were in a crash, only four of us are here now. Me, Meredith, Lexie and Mark. Cristina lives in Switzerland now and Derek passed away a few years after the plane crash in a car accident

- Amelia : Hi. You're Jones

- y/n : I am

- Amelia : Yeah well you disturbed my research today. I hope you're happy. Bye Arizona

What have I done? Shit. Was it me letting Winnie play the guitar? I'll stop. She doesn't have to play when we're at the hospital.

- Arizona : That was strange. It's fairly difficult to annoy Amelia. Maybe she's just crabby and tired

- y/n : Maybe

- Jack : Hey

- y/n : Hi. Are you okay?

- Jack : It's getting late, I'm ready to head home when you are and by the looks of things so is Winnie

- y/n : Yeah, we're going to leave so we can get Winnie to bed

- Arizona : Alright. Come find us at the hospital, we can hang out. Have a good rest of your evening

- y/n : You too

Okay, let's get home, get Winnie changed and into bed, change myself and sleep. Damn I really need some sleep right now.

- Jack : You're so beautiful

- y/n : I'm driving Jack. I can't kiss you right now

- Jack : I know, I just wanted to tell you that you're beautiful

- y/n : Well thank you

He's drunk. It's been a while since he's told me I look beautiful and he was drunk then. It's the little things that people forget.

- Winnie : Mom?

- y/n : We're home. Can you go get changed and brush your teeth? I'll come tuck you in soon

- Winnie : Mhm

- Jack : Hey. I'm going to head to bed

So I'm putting Winnie to bed tonight I guess. I get that Jack has a hard job and stuff but so do I. We both save lives everyday.

- y/n : Come on then. Into bed bug

- Winnie : Where's Dad?

- y/n : He's gone to bed already. He's tired like you

- Winnie : Oh

- y/n : It's okay. Maybe he'll put you to bed tomorrow

- Winnie : Yeah

- y/n : Night night bug

- Winnie : Night Mom

- y/n : Love you

- Winnie : Love you too

I'm sweaty but I also can't be bothered to shower again before bed so here we are. Shorts and a baggy t-shirt it is.

- Jack : Why aren't we married yet?

- y/n : Winnie needs us, we've never had the time or money for a big wedding

- Jack : I don't need a big wedding. I just want you, Winnie and our closest friends there

- y/n : Right

- Jack : Y/n, I want to get married this year

- y/n : What? That's such a short amount of time-

- Jack : Do you want to marry me or not? We've been engaged for too long. You feel like my wife but you're not. I need you to be my wife

- y/n ; I do, I want to marry you

- Jack : So this year, maybe October

Fuck that isn't far away and weddings cost a lot. We're raising a child and are maintaining a good size home and two cars. I don't have a lot of savings, a lot of my money went to the deposit on the house.

- y/n : Okay

- Jack : Andy, Vic and Travis have been asking to plan the wedding

- y/n : Then let them. Saves costs in hiring a wedding planner

- Jack : October 4th. That's when we'll get married

- y/n : Right

- Jack : We're actually going to get married

- y/n : Mhm

- Jack : I love you

- y/n : Love you too

It's not a lie, I do love him but I don't know if I want to get married now. When he proposed I wanted to get married, I had recently been in a car accident but I'm clear headed now. I don't think I want a wedding but I can't crush Jack's heart like that so I'll marry him.

- Winnie : Mom?

- y/n : Huh? Why're you awake? It's late

- Winnie : I had a nightmare

- y/n : Alright, come on. I'll sleep in your room on the floor

- Winnie : But it'll be cold

- y/n : I'm going to get the blanket from the back of the sofa then I'll be right through. Get yourself comfy

Winnie get's nightmares sometimes. Since we were in car accident she hasn't slept well. We've told her she can always come and get one of us when she has a bad dream. They aren't often, maybe once, twice a week.
