WINNIE'S POV

My parents are arguing again. It doesn't happen all the time, it's just getting more frequent. My friend Tilly's parents are divorced but my parents aren't even married so they can't be divorced.

- y/n : Hey bug. How do you feel about spending the night at Auntie Maya's?

- Winnie : Do I have to?

- y/n : It's been so long since you stayed over there and she misses you

- Winnie : Okay

- y/n : What's wrong?

- Winnie : Are you and Dad going to get divorced?

- y/n : No. We're getting married in October. Sometimes parents just have arguments. Me and you Dad don't always see eye to eye

My Mom's a really bad liar sometimes. Her and my Dad don't see eye to eye a lot of the time. Like when I wanted to start ballet, Dad said we should wait but Mom said we should do what I wanted. They argue over little things.

- y/n : You ready bug?

- Winnie : Yeah

- y/n : So Auntie Maya is going to take you to school tomorrow but I'll be there to pick you up

- Winnie : Can't I go to Dad's work?

- y/n : You can. You remember which bus stop to use?

- Winnie : The fifth one

- y/n : Yeah. Say night to your Dad

- Winnie : Night Dad

- Jack : See you tomorrow Wins

I like staying with Auntie Maya. Her wife makes really good food and is really nice.

- Carina : Hello bella. Come in

- y/n : All of her school stuff is in this bag. Thank you so much for this

- Carina : No problem. Maya will be out in a minute.

- Maya : Hi

- y/n : Thank you for this

- Maya : It's fine. Is everything okay at home?

- y/n : Yeah it's fine. Be good

- Maya : She always is, aren't you Winston?

- Winnie : Yeah. Bye Mom

- y/n : Bye bye bug

I hope I don't have a nightmare tonight. It's okay when I have them at home because my Mom is there but when I'm at someone else's house she isn't there and they aren't my Mom.

YOUR POV

I'm dreading going home. I don't want to go home. I want to sleep but to sleep I have to go home.

- Jack : You're back

- y/n : Where were you?

- Jack : Out

- y/n : Where?

- Jack : Why does it matter? I'm alive and I'm not hurt

- y/n : Because it matters. Jack you disappeared. No one has seen you. My Dad's think we're having problems and can't raise Winnie

- Jack : They said that?

- y/n : No but I know my Dad's. That's what they were thinking when you didn't turn up

- Jack : Maybe they weren't. You over analyse everything. Maybe for once if you stopped over thinking then you'd realise the whole world doesn't revolve around you

- y/n : I know the world doesn't revolve around me.  Fucking hell

I need to walk out the room and gather myself because if I don't then I'll explode at Jack.

- Jack : What's happening with us?

- y/n : Jack just give me a minute

- Jack : No, we've gone from no fights to 2 huge fights over basically nothing

- y/n : I don't know Jack. I don't know what's happening

- Jack : Is is pre-wedding jitters? It's 6 weeks until the wedding so that's understandable

- y/n : Jack I said I don't know

- Jack : Can we just go to bed?

- y/n : I need to go out

I need to get out of the house for tonight.

- Jack : Stop packing a bag

- y/n : Please don't touch me right now Jack because I'm angry and upset and I don't want to yell at you

- Jack : Please stay

- y/n : It's just tonight.

Just tonight so it looks like i'm calling one of my new friends.

- Arizona : Hey Y/n. What's up? It's kind of late

- y/n : Do you mind if I stay at yours on the sofa or something?

- Arizona : Give me a second...Hey no. Give me my pho-

- Maggie : Is everything okay?

- y/n : Yeah. I just need somewhere to crash for the night

- Maggie : Everyone is at Meredith's so come here

- y/n : Are you sure?

- Maggie : Yeah. Pick up a bottle of wine on the way. We'll see you soon

They're all going to have hangovers at work tomorrow, rather them then me. I could do with a drink but I'm not in a great place and I know it won't be one drink. What have I done? Fuck. And here come the water works, lovely. Just stop so I can go inside.

- Amelia : Hi- ugh. Maggie, your friend is here

- Maggie : Ooo more wine- Are you okay?

- y/n : Yeah, poked my eye before I got out the car

- Maggie : Oh right. Come join us in the other room

I am definitely not okay. The more I think about it the more I realise I should've stayed at home but I was getting overwhelmed and I wasn't thinking clearly. Jack knows that I was getting overwhelmed, I only look for an escape when I am feeling that way. I just hope I haven't fucked things up, for Winnie.

- y/n : I'll be back I need to use the bathroom

- Meredith : Alright. Want me to pour you a glass of wine?

- y/n : No, I'm good thank you

- Callie : You're missing out, you chose good wine

- y/n : I have work and I prefer to work sober, no offence

- Callie : None taken

I need to call Jack, let him know I'm okay. Do the thing he forgot to do.

- y/n : Hey

- Jack : Can you come home?

- y/n : I'm safe

- Jack : Please Y/n

- y/n : I don't want to yell at you

- Jack : Just come home

I want to go home. I want nothing more then to hug Jack and tell him I'm sorry but I also know that pretending we haven't argued and going back to him when I get a little sad does nothing.

- Amelia : Took you long enou- Are you okay?

- y/n : Mhm

- Amelia : No you're not. Wait here, I need to pee then I'll be out and we can talk

She's my boss. I can't give too much away or she'll think I'm not good at my job and will stop giving me surgeries, I need surgeries.
