After about an hour of operation, the doctors came out, “She’s lucky, the bullet just missed her heart! Don’t worry, she’ll be fine. Let her rest for now”. Yujun asked, “When can we see her?”. “We’ll keep her under observation for a day and then we’ll shift her to another cabin. You can see her then”, bowed and left. Yujun, as told, collected the bullet. 

After two days.
She had woken up. After a check-up, visitors were allowed by her doctor. Then Levi called everyone else to her cabin. He first entered and greeted her with a rose, followed by the rest, who did the same. Joanne was pretty moved at this, “What’s all this about? It’s not like I was dying or anything!”. Jishin sat down beside her and gently held her left hand in both his and said, “I don’t know what would have happened if you weren’t there to save him that day….How will I ever pay you back?”, looking down. She replied with a straight face that was full of mockery, “What BS! I just want us to work together like better partners. And never think about double-crossing me ever…maybe that’s enough payback for you. Otherwise you know what’s at stake, right? (glancing at Levi and then back at Jishin with a crooked smile)". He gulped in fear and nodded. She continued, “So did you find who was the shooter?”. Seoyun replied, “No”. “What about the bullet? Who’s the owner?”. Lucifer replied urgently, “I’m still looking into it”. Joanne moved her head back and forth thinking and said, “Well, I’ve got news for you!”. Everyone was on their toes after hearing it. She continued with utter sincerity, “As per my experience, I don’t think the real target was Lev…..because it took more than enough time for the bullet to reach me…as if it was waiting for me to jump in and..and that’s not…that doesn’t happen actually. (Sighed) One thing I didn’t tell you guys, I thought it was someone random…I was being stalked a few days ago, although I couldn’t see him but, it was damn clear to me…and-“. Lucifer cut her off stating, “And now that this happened, this person is not someone random”. She approved of his theory by nodding, “Whoever this is, probably knows that I’m not dead yet, so he’s gonna come again and make sure that I’m dead this time”. Jishin asked, “So what do you have in mind?”. She stared at him while thinking about something and answered, looking away, “I wanna see him. And for my safety, I’ll need one of you to stay here-“. Yujun didn’t let her complete her sentence and shouted aggressively at her, “Do you even hear what you’re saying right now?”. She was rather calm, “Yeah! I’m perfectly sane right now but a bit sore too, so..(eyeing Seoyun) keep your gun with yourself”. He flinched at her coldness, while Seoyun was caught off guard and agreed like an obedient child. “Now, all six of you are walking out of here, pretending like I’m well and kicking, and then Pak Seoyun, you’re gonna sneak back inside this building and stay hidden in my room, OK! Now go, be quick!”. Levi was really worried about her and trembled, “But what if something goes wrong? And-“. Joanne gripped his hands tightly, and whispered to him, “Killing me..won’t be that easy. So stop worrying about nothing!”. But he cried, “But Sis, I-“. Her tone changed and demanded him, “I want you to go home now. LEAVE!”. And they left, dragging Levi out of her cabin.
