Chapter 59

She quickly went to change her clothes and came back. The bug stopped moving after about 20 minutes. It stopped somewhere in the middle of a slum. She then took out the papers she had brought from that building and the pendrive. She then went through the contents of the drive but didn't find anything that was important to her. She finally confirmed that Ashish had tricked her. She chuckled at his foolishness and the others in the room were a bit confused. Lucifer asked her, "What's so funny?". She in turn questioned him back, glancing at a distance, "Do you think I'm naive ?". "No". "Do you think I'm stupid ?". "Absolutely not!". She glared at him, "Then why did he make such a big and obvious mistake?". He flinched. She immediately switched her aura, grabbing her neck and eyes closed, "Aah! I'm beat! (Yawned) Good night! Go to bed all of you.." and left. The boyband were puzzled as they never succeeded in making out what was going on in her head and finally retired to their respective rooms.

Next day.
Joanne watched the news that showed the explosion in the building was caused due to gas leakage. Ashish had perfectly framed the cause. The cleanup after and the investigation looked too normal for a setup. So she decided to give Ashish a visit to his secret residence. And she also wanted to know the progress of their deal, on his part, to be exact. She told the boyband to stay in for the next day, and hired four men from the person(Suraj Sharma) she had once asked for security.

Next day.
She moved out with the hired men in an unregistered vehicle to look for Ashish. After arriving there, she told them to stand guard on the outside of his house and she would call only two of them if she felt the need to. She would contact them with wireless earpieces. She knocked on the door. Ashish opened the door and was stunned to see her there and started stammering, "You...uh..come in...heh.. H-how did you know about his place?". She replied gently, "I know a lot more than you know! Besides, I wanted to talk about my demand in the deal". He let her sit in an armchair, "Wait here, I'll bring something to drink" and exited quickly. Meanwhile, she told one of her men to sneak inside and look for anything suspicious. On the other hand, Ashish thought about spiking her drink, as he had kept Mr. Bose alive behind her back. He came back with two glasses of juice on a platter and put it on the coffee table in front of her. He then pulled a stool and sat on it, across to her. He seemed a bit confident and chilled after returning, and she figured that something was definitely fishy. So she started chatting with him, "So have you proceeded with how you're going to realise my wish?". "I'm still thinking about it, but you said you'd tell me how to do it. Then say it!". They were chitchatting when they heard a crashing noise outside and he rushed to check it out. Joanne took this opportunity and switched the drink swiftly. He came back and lifted up the glass in his hand, which was originally spiked for her. She drank with him too.
