I stayed awake through most of the night, unpacking my suitcase and jotting down all of the things I would need to buy over the coming week. I was practically starting from scratch, figuring that I could have fun purchasing all new sets of sheets, decor, and more clothes after selling many of my items before leaving Chicago. Everything I had with me either held some sentimental value or fit into my basic closet essentials.

After forcing myself to rest for a few hours before sunrise I woke to the sound of singing from the shower, a low voice that coaxed me in and out of sleep for a few more minutes. Once I was sure the bathroom was free I brushed my teeth and hair, dressed and joined Taehyung and Jungkook in the kitchen.

They were in the middle of planning for dinner, something I'd learn they did every morning and that was always of high priority. I giggled at Taehyung's insistence that we patron his favorite restaurant, Jungkook leaning over the countertop to address me.

"What do you have planned today?" He asked.

I shrugged. "I'm not sure how to do anything here yet so I'll try to figure some of that out if I can. I need to do some shopping. I don't even have bedsheets."

"We'll show you where to shop after espresso." Taehyung grinned, brushing a hand through his hair.

"Espresso, of course. Give me five minutes to change." I glanced over at Taehyung, dressed in dark dress pants and a pretty printed button-up, the pair of mules he wore dangling off his feet.

Jungkook laughed through the shockingly large bite he'd taken out of an apple, picking up on the way I observed Taehyung. "You look fine. Tae will always outdress everyone."

"Fine?" Taehyung stood, his voice inflecting a dramatized tone. "Sei incredible!" He grabbed onto my hand, pressing a small kiss to it before tucking it into the crook of his arm.

Jungkook rolled his eyes, tossing the core of his apple into the trash and moving to the door. "Are you done sucking up?" He shoved his wallet and keys into his pockets, poking out his tongue when I grabbed onto his shoulder after losing my balance while putting on my shoes.

The coffee bar two blocks over was packed with people as if it were a nightclub. The few small tables outside were occupied by people chatting about their vacation to Italy, locals standing in small groups around the bar with tiny white cups. Jungkook pushed his way through the crowd so that there was a big enough space for us to move into. Taehyung and I stood behind him while he caught the attention of a barista, giving our order over the constant chatter of those surrounding us.

He turned around a minute later with four croissants tucked into his hands, keeping two for himself and spinning back and forth until our hands were filled with cups and pastries. I listened to them continue discussing dinner while I sipped at the sweet, bold flavored drink, nothing like the on the go coffee I was used to grabbing back home. One bite of the flaky croissant led to a deep moan rumbling past my lips and an immediate second bite that brought their attention to me.

"You like that?" Jungkook asked, the question making my stuffed cheeks flush.

"I might end up taking your second one. I'm deeming this my new weakness." I took another bite of the airy, buttery treat.

We were on the move as soon as we finished our drinks, Jungkook giving me the first bite of his second croissant as we walked toward the end of the block. I took the biggest bite I could, my mouth packed with half of the bread. He groaned at the small piece I left for him and I bumped my shoulder with his arm, Taehyung's laughter echoing from my other side.

I didn't pay much attention to where we were going, chatting with Taehyung about an upcoming audition to play at a jazz club for a few nights in the week. We stopped in front of a small boutique, where Taehyung worked as a stylist during the day.
