Chapter 8- All Or Nothing

Ross's POV
Today's the day! I woke up bright and early, so I could make sure everything is perfect. Since Lexi just moved here and hasn't seen much, I figured I could be her tour guide for the day. I plan on taking her to some of the non-touristy places in California. Then, we will go to my favorite diner in the world. Afterwards, we will get to the beach just in time to watch the sun set, like when we first met... Yesterday... It is going to be perfect!

As soon as I woke up, I texted Lexi.

Good morning! Do you want to hang out today?

I didn't know if she was awake yet or not. She was, because seconds later I got a response.

I have to finish unpacking. Sorry.

I was not going to let her get away that easily.

Great! I'll pick you up at noon.

It's 9:30 now, so I have less than 3 hours to get ready. I take a quick shower and get dressed. Since I wanted everything to be perfect, I asked Stormie to fix my hair. No one can make my hair look the way my mom does.

It is now 11:30, and I am ready to go pick up Lexi. I want to be on time, but not early. So I sit down and watch TV for a bit. By 11:45, I'm out the door.

Lexi's POV
Right when I woke up I started unpacking. I was almost finished when my phone started beeping.

Ross. I still don't really know what to say to him. He wanted to hang out. But, I wasn't done unpacking. My mom would never let me go. However, she had to go to work and wouldn't be home today... But if she ever found out she would kill me. It's not worth the risk. I texted him back telling him I had to finish unpacking. Before I even had time to set my phone down, he replied.

Noon. I have until noon to be ready. I guess it wouldn't hurt anybody if I go for a little while. And if I hurry, I could finish putting my room together and still be ready by noon. So I run around like a crazy person for a while until my room is finished. I am very surprised at how well it came together. For a few minutes I stand there, admiring what I have done. Then I remember, I must hurry. Ross will be here in less than an hour.

With minutes to spare, I am ready. It's really hot today, so I put on shorts and a tank top. I didn't really know how to dress, because I had no idea where we were going. I walk down the steps, and hear a knock. I go to the door, and Ross is standing there. He looks good as always, in a tshirt and jeans. In the back of my mind, I'm thinking of last night when I saw him on TV. I'm snapped out of my thoughts when I hear Ross speak.

"Hey." He said. Even his voice is attractive.
"Hi. So where are we going?"
"You'll see." He grinned at me.
Today is going to be fun. I quickly wrote a note on the table for Cassy so she would know where I went when she got home. I went back to the door and joined Ross as we walked outside to his car.
