Ross's POV
We walked towards the ocean and she gave me a weird glance.

"Stay here." I said to Lexi.

I walked up to the rental surf shack and got the beginner surfboard. I brought it back to Lexi, and she gave me a worried look.

"No." She said to me. "Ross, I'm going to make a fool of myself."

"Don't worry, you'll be fine. I looked stupid the first time too. You'll get better at it." I reassured her.

"Okay, so what do I do?"

2 Hours Later
I feel like Lexi is now ready to go in the water. I swim on a pro board next to her and tell her to start paddling. She paddles up to a wave, gets on her board, and falls in the water. She starts gagging on water and I rush over to help her up.

"I suck at this." She said as I start pulling her up on my board.

"How about we quit for the day and head over to the sand."

"Good idea." She replied.

The sun was about k set, and I wanted to finish the night perfectly. We found a spot on the beach and sat, staring into the water.

"It's so pretty out here." She said to me. This is my chance make a move, Ross. Don't be a baby...

"Not as pretty as you." I said back. Smooth.

Lexi's POV
After I embarrassed myself in front of Ross on a surfboard, we sat down to watch the sunset.

"It's so pretty out here." I said to Ross.

"Not as pretty as you." He said back. I felt the blood rush to my cheeks and I smiled. "Thanks." Was all I could think to say back to him.

We sat there for a few minutes, just watching the sunset. It wasn't an awkward quiet, but a peaceful quiet. Today was really fun.

A little while later, he drove me back home and walked me to my door.

"Goodnight, Ross. I had a great time today."

"So did I. Goodnight, Lexi." I kissed his cheek and walked inside. After I shut the door, I stared into space like an idiot, with the biggest smile on my face. Today really was an amazing day.

Ross's POV
I walked her to her door. We exchanged goodnights and she kissed my cheek. She kissed me!!!... Sorta. She closed the door and I just stayed on her porch for a minute. I was so happy.
