Chapter 24- The Ferris Wheel

Ross's POV
I needed to get Lexi alone to explain to her what happened. The Ferris Wheel is the only way for me to get her to listen and not walk away. So, I let her lead as we both sat in the pink car.

"You better make this fast. The ride isn't that long." She said to me. We started going up, stopping for a few seconds, then restarting.

"Okay. Here it goes. Last year, I was still a junior at Pacific Coast. I was in a relationship with Molly. Nothing serious. But after we were dating for a few months, she started hanging out with people I didn't know. I promise you Lexi, I didn't get her pregnant. I don't even think Molly really knows.."

"Okay, if that's true why would she tell me it was you?"

"Because that's the whack job she is! I promise you. As soon as I found out she was pregnant, I ended it. But she became obsessive. She told everyone at school it was me. My dad thought I didn't need that bad publicity, so I started homeschooling. But, at the same time, R5 did go on their first world tour, so I would have had to anyway."

Lexi just sat there, taking it all in. After going around a few times, they stopped us right at the top. We were higher than any other building or ride. The skyline was beautiful. Stars were shining bright and the lights from the carnival illuminated the sky.

"I believe you." Lexi said to me. She looked up and smiled. I smiled back.

"I promise you Lexi. I wouldn't do that to a girl. To anyone. Especially you."

Lexi's POV
I do believe Ross. I barely know Molly, and I don't have a reason not to trust Ross.

"I promise you, Lexi. I wouldn't do that to a girl. To anyone. Especially you." Ross said to me.

I smiled. He leaned in, and give me a quick kiss. He had finished explaining, and we started moving again from the top of the Ferris Wheel.

"Now that everything is explained, Lexi, will you take me back?" Ross asked me. He pulled the necklace he gave me that I ripped off out of his pocket and placed it in his palm. I looked at it then up at him.

"Yes, Ross."

He clamped the necklace back onto my neck like it had never left.

It all felt right.
