(Later that night)
(Vincent returns back to his mansion)
Vincent: (entering into the house) Hmm, Seems like everyone's asleep (He switches on the light to see Cassandra waiting on the couch for him, with her legs crossed) Cassandra?
Cassandra: Welcome back
Vincent: (surprised) You're still up?
Cassandra: Yes, I couldn't sleep
Vincent: Well you should get back to bed, It's pretty late (He checks his wristwatch)
It's almost midnight.
Cassandra: I know (she stares at him with narrowed eyes) Where're you coming from at this late hour? And why is your body wet?
Vincent: (slightly furious) What silly question is that? What right do you have to query me in my own house?!
Cassandra: I'm not querying you, I'm just concerned about your wellbeing that's all
Vincent: Well you shouldn't be! I'm a grown man, Cassandra. I can take care of myself
(Vincent drops his car keys & heads upstairs as Cassandra watches him in anger)
Cassandra: (thinks) It has to be Elena he was with, It's so obvious! Ugh, That small rat should wait till I get my hands on her... I'll rip her apart!
FEW DAYS LATER
(At Mr Gilbert's mansion)
(In the kitchen)
Elena: (she opens up a packet of noodles and drops it in a pot filled with boiling water then she adds the seasonings)
Mary: (she enters the kitchen) Elena what're you doing?
Elena: I'm making noodles
Mary: No need, I'll help you cook it
Elena: (laughs) Don't worry Mary, It's just noodles I wanna make, Nothing major... I can do it myself. Besides you're not gonna follow me to my husband's house are you?
Mary: (she shakes her head)
Elena: So don't worry
Mary: Alright then (she leaves the kitchen)
Elena: (Her phone rings, she takes it out of her pocket and checks who's calling) Ooh, It's Vincent calling (she answers the call) Hey d@rling, How's your morning going?
Vincent: (over the phone) Hey babe, It's going pretty well. I've really missed you
Elena: Me too, Can't wait for our scheduled outing tomorrow (Vincent pauses) You didn't forget did ya?!
Vincent: Of course not babe, How could I forget? We'll go to the beach, the arcade, the movies and your favorite... Chuks Restaurant
Elena: (giggling) Yeah
(Elena then notices her noodles is over boiling and pouring out of the pot)
Elena: Oh sh!t (to Vincent) I'll call you back Vince... (she cuts the call and quickly carries the pot down from the cooker) Uhh (she opens the lid to see the noodles almost burnt) Oops.
(Caitlin enters the kitchen just then)
Caitlin: (sniffing the air) Mmm, What's that smell?
Elena: Sorry Mom. It was my noodles, They accidentally got overcooked while I was on the phone with Vincent
Caitlin: (smiling) You almost burnt your food because you were speaking with him? (She laughs)
Elena: (laughing) Yeah I know. Silly me.
