It was almost 10 pm. I was walking to the astronomy tower.

When I got there, Draco was watching the view. I walked up to him and stood next to him.

He looked at me. "Happy birthday y/n."

I gave him a quick hug. "Thank you."

"You know the tradition right?" He said.

I laughed. "Of course. I was waiting for it all day long." I said.

Draco pulled out his wand and a soft music started playing.

He walked to the middle of the tower and held out his hand.

I grabbed his hand and he pulled me closer.

We danced on the music. We did this every year on our birthdays. We did it since we were 6. And we never stopped. Not even when we had a stupid fight.

We danced, and danced. The time flew by.

After some time we stopped dancing and we sat down, watching the view.

"Can't wait for our next dance." He said.

"Me neither." I replied.

We watched the view for quite sometime. We didn't talk. It was just a comfortable silence.

After a while he stood up.

"I'm gonna go to my dorm." He said.

"Walk together?" I asked.

"Of course." He said and held his hand out to help me stand up.

We walked back to the common room. And when we arrived we both went to our dorms.

Pansy was already asleep. I quickly brushed my teeth, changed my clothes and grabbed a book. The book Draco gave me.

I was just about to get in my bed when I saw another letter.

' And in that moment I swear we were infinite.

It had a little drawing of two persons dancing. It was us. I pinned it on the wall.

I read a few pages.

Then I finally went to bed. But I couldn't sleep. I couldn't stop thinking.

Was Pansy right? Was I developing feelings for Draco? I couldn't, it would ruin our friendship.

The gloves, the arm around me, the dance. It all replayed in my head.

Don't get me wrong. Draco is very handsome. I believe most of the girls in our year were falling for him. Even girls who weren't in our year.

Merlin, there were probably even boys who think he is handsome.

But I am his best friend. I couldn't have feelings for him. Wouldn't I have realized much sooner?

I grunted. I wanted to sleep. That's all I really wanted.

I closed my eyes and tried not to think.

After a few hours I finally fell asleep. Luckily we didn't have classes tomorrow.
