"Ok, listen. So he can't tell me, because he doesn't know what will happen. Write that down, will you?" I started.

I was currently in the library with Pansy. Unlike me, Pansy actually had slept nicely the past few weeks. I just couldn't fall asleep without knowing what was going on with Draco.

Pansy wrote it down on a big piece of paper.

"He's afraid I'll get hurt or die when I know. So that means that if someone knows that I know, they'll hurt me or kill me." I said.

"So other people are involved?" Pansy asked.

"Yes. Write that down too." I said and she wrote it down.

"Anything else he told you?" She asked.

"He spends a lot of his night in the astronomy tower, I think at least. When I got there he was sitting there long before I arrived. He looks tired a lot, so I guess he barely sleeps and spends his time there." I said, she immediately wrote it down.

"He told me he wasn't ok, but he would be. And that he feels like he's lost a part of himself." I said.

"Should I write that down?" She asked.

I hesitated. "Yeah, ok."

"Anything else?" She asked.

"No, that's all he told me." I replied.

We looked at the piece of paper together. Pansy had written with a lot of different colors. Things that had or maybe had something to do with each other in the same color.

-

DRACO MALFOY
- Can't tell, don't know what'll happen
- Other people involved
- Astronomy tower at night, does he sleep?
- Isn't ok, lost a part of himself

-

"That's all I know for now." I sighed.

When I told Pansy about everything, and that I couldn't sleep at night, she insisted on doing this.

It's like a crime scene, except this isn't a crime. I think.

We went back to our room.

"Where should I put it?" I asked.

"Pin it against the wall. There!" She pointed to an empty spot on the wall, right next to the door.

I did exactly as she said. We looked at it together.

"But what if anyone comes in?" I asked.

"I'll keep everyone away. And we'll just lock the door when we're not here." She said.

"Ok, if you say so." I replied.

Then we got on our bed, and talked some more.

We talked about how I was anxious, how he's been acting, where he would hang out etcetera. He had even quit quidditch.

We still didn't know what was going on, but we would find out.

[a/n] not us starting a whole damn investigation 🫣
