Prologue: Cosmo's Past

It was a normal day in Vermilion City, Professor Cerise, who recently became a Professor was a bit tired doing his research in the laboratory, he decided to go for a walk, after telling his assistances, Chrysa and Ren.

Chrysa and Ren were happy to help Professor Cerise with anything, especially knowing that he needs to rest at times.

Professor Cerise went out of the laboratory, after making sure Chrysa and Ren knows what to do, and went out the door. He decided to went to the dock, and look at the ocean.

ᴊᴏᴜʀɴᴇʏ

Upon arriving there, Professor Cerise notices something by the shore, he went over to it and was shocked to see a boy, unconscious and laying on the sand.

Professor Cerise went to the boy, and was relieved to see that the boy was breathing. He contacted Officer Jenny and told her about the boy.

The ambulance came, and the boy was taken to the Hospital with Professor Cerise following. He made sure to contact his assistance about the situation and they understand. Now he is with the boy making sure that he is okay.

Upon arriving at the Hospital, the boy was immediately taken to a room for a checkup. Professor Cerise decided to stay there so that he can see if the boy was okay.

Hours have passed, and the doctor came out. Professor Cerise asks the doctor about the boy, the doctor told him that the boy was healthy, and now the only thing to do is wait for him to wake up.

Professor Cerise thanked the doctor, and went into the room to check on the boy. He sat next to the boy, while observing him. A few minutes passed, and the boy made some noise indicating that he was waking up.

Once the boy have open his eyes, Professor Cerise ask if the boy was okay. The boy ask where he was, and Professor Cerise answered by saying that he's in the hospital, and that he found him on the shore. The Professor decided to ask the boy his names and where his family was, but the boy gave no answer only saying that he doesn't know or he can't remember.

A while later, the doctor and Officer Jenny came into the room to check on the boy, after Professor Cerise told them that he has woken up. The doctor was there to check his health, while Officer Jenny was there to ask him where he came from, or where his family was.

The boy gave the same answer he gave to Professor Cerise, while also thanking the Professor for saving him in the process. When asked about his name, the boy couldn't remember, and thanks to the suggestion that he can give them a name the boy decided to name himself Cosmo.

By the time Officer Jenny leaves it was already night time, Professor Cerise told Cosmo that he would checkup on him the next morning. After that day, the Professor told his Talia, Chrysa and Ren about Cosmo. Everyone was relieved that Cosmo was okay.

ᴊᴏᴜʀɴᴇʏ

Ever since that day, Professor Cerise would occasionally visit Cosmo in the hospital. Sometime also bringing along his wife Talia, and assistances Chrysa and Ren to visit him.

As time pass by, it was the day Cosmo can finally get out of the hospital, but because he has no where to go, he didn't know what to do. Professor Cerise and Talia came in on that day, and told Cosmo about him being adopted by them.

Cosmo was shocked at the news, he ask why they would adopt him, and they told him that they saw him as a son, and that they would be happy to have him to be apart of the family.

Ever since that day, Cosmo has been living with Professor Cerise and Talia.

Some time later Cosmo was adopted. His first birthday with Professor Cerise, Talia, Chrysa and Ren, and he's gotten a gift from them.

He opened his gift after thanking them. What he saw inside was a Pokéball, Cosmo ask why they gave him a Pokéball, and the four adults told him to see what's inside.

Cosmo looks at the Pokéball in his hand and slowly move his finger towards the button. He pressed the button, it opened, and a Gible came out. He was extremely happy and excited, when he saw the Gible.

The adults found out that Cosmo really like Dragon Type Pokémon, so what better gift to give him than a Dragon Type Pokémon of his own. Ever since that day, Cosmo named his Gible "Buddy", and they've became bestfriends immediately.

More time has passed being with Professor Cerise and Talia. Cosmo was excited at the news that Talia was pregnant with a baby. He was very excited to have a sibling, his partner Buddy was also very happy at the news.

The day Chloe was born, Cosmo decided that he would be the best brother he could be for her.

Things are looking up for Cosmo now.
