[Cerise Laboratory - Main Room]
Today in Cerise Laboratory. Everyone is in the Main Room looking at the screen showing Professor Elm and some Pokémon eggs.
Buddy, Beau and Dexter are on the ground.
"The first person to make the existence of Pokémon eggs known was Professor Oak's apprentice, Professor Elm." Cerise told both Ash and Goh. "He pointed out how nobody has ever seen a Pokémon lay an egg before."
"Nobody's seen it? How can that be?" Goh asked.
"It would be so much easier for us if we could figure that out." Ren said.
"Some researchers have hypothesized that Pokémon simply pick up their eggs from someplace, but we have no evidence for that, either." Chrysa said.
"Not to mention unbelievable since if that was the case, where did the eggs come from?" Cosmo said.
"In other words, Pokémon eggs still hold many mysteries." Cerise said.
"I've never seen a Pokémon lay an egg either, come to think of it..." Ash said, pondering.
"You mean you have seen a Pokémon egg, then?!" Goh asked, looking at Ash surprised.
"Sure have!" Ash said.
"Lucky you!" Goh said. "Let's go look for one!" He declared.
"Huh?" Ash said, a bit confused.
"What do you mean, "Huh"? I wanna see an egg!" Goh said.
"Now, now, boys... You won't find an egg that easily." Ren said.
"You'll never know until you try!" Goh said.
"That's right! C'mon, Goh! You too, Cosmo!" Ash said, looking at them.
"Yeah!" Goh said, agreeing.
"Okay!" Cosmo said, agreeing.
"We're off!" Cosmo, Ash and Goh said, as the three went out.
"I'm rooting for you!" Cerise told them, as they leave.

[Vermillion City - Local Park]
Now in the Local Park inside of Vermillion City. The group could be seen walking through it.
Buddy is in Cosmo's arms.
Beau is on Cosmo's shoulder.
Dexter is on Cosmo's head.
"Pokémon eggs are found in tall grass and other paces like these, yeah?" Goh asked. He stops and spotted something. "There!" He said, and ran towards what seems like an egg but isn't.
"Goh, I don't think-" Cosmo said.
The "egg" is revealed to be an Exeggcute.
"-that's an egg." Cosmo finished, sweat-dropping.
Buddy, Beau and Dexter also sweat-drops.
"Exeggcute?!" Goh said, seeing the Pokémon. He took out his Rotom-Phone.
"Exeggcute.
Egg Pokémon.
Grass/Psychic type.
Six of them together form a full-fledged Pokémon.
They converse using telepathy.
"All right... Go, Pokéball!" Goh shouted, and throws a Pokéball towards Exeggcute.
"Nice!" Exeggcute went into the Pokéball.
"I did it!" Goh cheered.
The Pokéball shook a few times, and Exeggcute is successfully captured.
"Exeggcute's data will be added to the Index." Goh's Rotom-Phone informed.
