[Hotel - Room]
The sun was just starting to rise in the Galar Region.
Inside Cosmo's room, where him and his Pokémon were all staying at. There are two beds, one for Cosmo and one for his Pokémon.
Buddy, Beau, and Dexter shared a bed. The three of them were still sleeping.
Cosmo was on his bed, however he was wide-awake. It seems as though he hasn't slept, thinking about the request.
[Flashback]
"Eh?" Cosmo said, he blinks, confused.
"I would like a battle with you." Leon told Cosmo, requesting a battle from him.
"B-But... why?" Cosmo asked, confused. "I'm not taking part of the Pokémon World Tournament. So I'm not sure why you would want to battle with me." He said.
"You interest me." Leon said, which surprises Cosmo. "I would like to see how great you have raised your Pokémon. And I find a Pokémon battle a great way to know." He smiled.
Cosmo looks at his Pokémon, before looking back at Leon. "Okay." He said, with a smile. "I accept your request to a battle."
[Flashback Ends]
Cosmo was looking at the ceiling as he sighed.
"Am I really up for it?" Cosmo thought to himself, with a hand covering his eyes.
Suddenly a memory appeared.
[Flashback]
On a battlefield two boys were seen standing on either sides. There are two Pokémon one the battlefield, a Charmander and a Squirtle.
"Great job, Levy!" Leon said, he recalls Charmander. Despite his Charmander being defeated, he is still excited from the battle. "Both you and Bubbles were amazing!" He complimented.
"T-Thank you..." Levy said, a bit shyly. "But are you alright? I'm sorry for beating you." He apologized.
"It's fine." Leon reassured his childhood friend. "Even though Charmander and I lost our first battle, that just means we gotta get more stronger until we beat you."
Levy smiled. "Yeah, I'll be cheering you two on!" He said.
[Flashback Ends]
Cosmo's eyes widened. He sat up on his bed.
"What was that? A memory?" Cosmo thought to himself, confused. "Who was that? And... who's Levy?"
Buddy, Beau, and Dexter soon woke up. The three yawned, and sat up.
"Good morning, you three." Cosmo greeted, looking at his Pokémon.
"Gible!" Buddy greeted.
"Eevee!" Beau greeted.
"Dreepy." Dexter greeted.
"Come on, everyone!" Cosmo said. He stood up. "Time for our morning run!" He smiled.

[Wild Area]
After his morning run and a quick breakfast, which isn't much, Cosmo and his Pokémon have all arrived at the Wild Area.
For some reason, Leon had requested that they battle in the Wild Area.
"Let's see... Leon told me to meet him here." Cosmo said, checking his Rotom-Phone. He was waiting outside of the Train Station.
"Gible." Buddy is in Cosmo's arms.
"Eevee." Beau is on Cosmo's shoulder.
"Dreepy." Dexter is on Cosmo's head.
