[Cerise Laboratory - Main Area]
Inside of the Cerise Laboratory. Everyone is looking at images of Mauville City as a sandstorm has suddenly appeared and singing could be heard inside it.
"A singing voice heard from inside a sandstorm, huh?" Cerise said.
"People are going into the sandstorm, lured by the voice... That's rather concerning." Ren said.
"Not good at all." Cosmo said, shaking his head.
"Could it be the work of an unknown Pokémon?" Chrysa asked.
"What? Unknown Pokémon?!" Goh asked. "If it is, then I gotta catch it!" He said, excited, eyes sparkling. "Professor! Please let us go investigate the sandstorm as your research fellows!"
"All right. But don't be too reckless." Cerise told him.
"Of course." Goh said.
"Don't worry, Dad. We'll be there to make sure nothing bad happens." Cosmo reassured, he stood next to Goh, looking at Cerise.
"Ga!"
"Eevee!"
"Drak!"
"Snom!"
Buddy, Beau, Dexter, and Snowflake agrees.
"Thank you, Cosmo." Cerise thanked him.
"All right... Come on, Ash!" Goh said, he looks at Ash.
Both Cosmo and Goh became shocked, they sweat-drops seeing Ash sulking at the corner.
"I dropped a class... Dropped a class..." Ash said, sulking.
"Hey, now! Cheer up!" Goh told him. "Come on, you've lost a few times, but so what?" He asked.
"He's right. So, you lost, it's not a big deal." Cosmo said.
"Yeah, I lost. Three times in a row, at that!" Ash said. "At this rate, challenging Mr. Leon will be a dream within another dream..."
"What are you saying, Ash? I just know meeting a rare Pokémon will get you all fired up!" Goh said, he practically drags Ash out.
"I guess this is how we're gonna get Ash moving around, for a while." Cosmo said, sweat-dropping. He follows them.
"Cheer up, Ash." Chrysa said, waving.
"I expect good news regarding this unknown Pokémon, Goh." Ren said.
"Make sure to stay safe while out there, Cosmo." Cerise said.
ᴊᴏᴜʀɴᴇʏ
[Hoenn Region - Mauville City]
The group are now in the Hoenn Region. They were on the road towards Mauville City, where a bunch of vehicles and people stopped, seeing a sandstorm there.
"Whoa, the city's totally buried in sand." Goh said. "If this really is a Pokémon's handiwork, then that's amazing, yeah?" He asked.
"That's why we're here, is it not?" Cosmo asked. "We're here to investigate, what is causing the sandstorm."
"Ga."
"Eevee."
Buddy and Beau agrees.
Dexter and Snowflake were in their Pokéballs.
Ash is still sulking.
"Get it together, Ash!" Goh told him. "We're just about to go investigating!" He stated.
"Let's do this!" Cosmo added.
Ash looks at both Cosmo and Goh with a bit of a frightened expression. "Right... Sorry..."
Suddenly a singing sound could be heard inside of the sandstorm.
"This is it, huh?" Goh said.
"It kinda feels like it's calling for us." Ash said.
"I can kinda understand why some people went inside." Goh said.
