Cosmo and Buddy was at the institute, when Ash and Goh brings back an exhausted Piplup.
Everyone is currently at the eating area, as they watch Piplup quickly devouring the Pokémon foods.
Ash got out his Index, and checks Piplup's.
"Piplup! Penguin Pokémon! Water Type! Very proud, and skilled swimmer! Its thick down guards it from cold!"
"I wonder where it swam from?" Ash questioned.
"Pika."
"It sure is eating a lot, though." Goh said.
"Scorbunny."
"It did seem like it swam for a very long time." Cosmo said.
"Gible."
"It must have something going on." Professor Cerise said, as he held his cup.
"I'm home." Chloe announced, as she came in.
"Oh, welcome home." Professor Cerise greeted.
"Welcome home, Chloe." Cosmo greeted.
"What are you doing?" Chloe asked.
"We were watching Piplup, Chloe." Goh replied.
"Piplup? Where?" Chloe asked, as she looks around.
"What do you mean? It's right..." Ash said, but saw that the Piplup was gone, as the Pokémon food was finished.
"H-Huh? It's gone." Ash said, as him, Pikachu, Goh and Scorbunny begin looking around.
Mr. Mime came into the area, as he quickly tell the others something.
"Don't tell me..." Goh said.

All of them are now at the bathroom, as they saw the Piplup swimming around the water-filled sink.
"Could you all please come to the main room?" Ren asked.

Ash was carrying Piplup to the main room, as he struggles a bit.
"Piplup!" Someone called, and everyone look at her. "You're okay!" She said, and Piplup had a shocked expression. "What a relief!"
"Who's this?" Goh asked.
"I was searching for information on Piplup, and then I get in touch with this lady, who had put out a missing Pokémon report online." Chrysa said.
"You saved Piplup?" The girl asked. "Thank you!" She said, as she bowed a little. "I'm Lauren from Snowpoint City." She said.
"Snowpoint City... In the Sinnoh Region?!" Goh exclaimed.
"No way... It swam all the way from there?!" Chloe exclaimed.
"Even I can't believe it?!" Cosmo exclaimed.
"Pika?"
"Scor?"
"Gible?"
"I was worried since it disappeared all of a sudden..." Lauren said. "It was a real shock to hear you found it in Vermilion City!" She said.
"Hey, aren't you glad we found your trainer?" Ash asked Piplup. It looks away. "Huh? Are you embarrassed?" He asked.
"Now that we know, we should return it as fast as possible." Professor Cerise said.
