[Vermilion City - Pokémon Eating Contest]
Today is the day of the Pokémon Eating Contest.
"The Vermilion City Pokémon Eating Contest!" The announcer presents into the microphone. "Once again, proud eaters have gathered here from all over!"
Cosmo, Ash and Goh could be seen on stage.
Cosmo has entered Buddy.
Ash has entered Dragonite.
Goh has entered Skwovet.
"Standing in the way of the new faces that are brimming with confidence are last year's champ, Snorlax and our regular eating fighters! And this time we have a special guest, the globe-trotting legend of the eating world!" The announcer gestured towards a Blaziken. "Emperor Blaziken has come back to this contest!"
Everyone in the audience is excited.
Beau, Koda, Pikachu, Cerise, Chloe, and Chrysa were in the audience.
Both Beau and Koda sat next to Chloe.
"Blaziken!" Chrysa cheered, loudly.
"Whoever comes out victorious will receive a free trip to Unova, plus... All-you-can-eat gourmet Unova food!" The announcer said. "Everyone! Are you ready?!" He asked, turning towards the contestants.
Everyone agrees, excited.
[Flashback - Several Days Earlier]
Several days earlier before the contest.
In the Cerise Laboratory, inside of the Dining Area.
Cerise shows both Ash and Goh the Pokémon Eating Contest Poster.
Cosmo and Chloe were also there.
Buddy is next to Cosmo.
Beau is on Buddy's head.
Koda is on Cosmo's shoulder.
"The Pokémon Eating Contest?" Goh asked.
"That sounds fun!" Ash said.
"All right! I'll win it for sure!" Goh said.
"How naïve." Chrysa said, se appears at the entrance. "Vermilion City's Eating Contest is famous for attracting veteran eaters." She stated. "And that's not all. This time, the eating world's top monarch, Emperor Blaziken will be attending!" She revealed.
"That sounds fun!" Goh said.
"Huh?" Chrysa said.
"I'll see just how far I can get with Skwovet!" Goh shouted, fired up.
"Me, too!" Ash shouted.
"What do you think, Buddy?" Cosmo asked, looking at him. "Do you want to try it out?"
"Gar?" Buddy tilts his head a bit.
[Flashback End]
"Do your best, okay, Dragonite?" Ash asked.
Dragonite agrees, affectionately licking Ash's face.
"I'm counting on you, Skwovet!" Goh said, looking at Skwovet who is on his shoulder.
Skwovet agrees.
"Beau and everyone will be cheering you on, so do your best, Buddy!" Cosmo said, petting his head.
"Gar!" Buddy agrees.
After a bit of preparing, the first round is about to begin.
"The first round is the Everyone's Favorite Berries Battle!" The announcer announced. "The top ten contestants who eat the most berry platters will make it through!"
[Audience]
"I really get to see Emperor Blaziken eat live!" Chrysa said, excited. "I'm so emotional!" Her eyes sparkled.
