It was the day of Professor Oak's Summer Camp.
A bunch of kids were at the entrance of the lab in line, and waiting.
"Professor Oak!" A maroon haired girl named Chloe called, as she raised her hand. "Aren't we leaving yet?" She asked.
"Well, you see..." Professor Oak starts. "There's supposed to be one more coming."
"The meetup time's already over, though..." Chloe said.
"He's an energetic little boy who lives nearby..." Professor Oak explains.
"Probably went 'I'm going on a trip tomorrow, so I'm excited to sleep!'" A black haired boy with red stripes, named Goh said. "I bet he's careless and simple-minded."
At Ash's home
Ash was sleeping on his bed, next to a Snorlax Plushy.
"Can't wait... for the Pokémon.. Camp..." Ash said, as he snores and hugs his Snorlax Plushy.
Back to Oak's Laboratory
"That does describe him pretty well..." Professor Oak said. "But, um... Who are you?" He asked the black haired boy.
At that time a teenage boy came into view.
"His name is Goh, he's mine and Chloe's friend." Cosmo said, as he appeared with his Outfit, and carrying his Bestfriend-Pokémon Partner, Buddy the Gible.
"Oh, nice to see you Cosmo." Professor Oak greeted. "You as well, Buddy."
"Big Brother Cosmo! Buddy!" Chloe and Goh greeted.
"Nice to see you too, Professor Oak." Cosmo greeted. "You two as well." He greeted Chloe and Goh, and puts Buddy on the ground.
"Gible!" Buddy said happily, and went towards Chloe.
"That's right!" Chloe said, as she was petting Buddy. "Goh comes to play at Dad's lab all the time!"
Professor Oak made a noise. "Is Professor Cerise doing all right?" He asks both Cosmo and Chloe.
"Yes!" Cosmo and Chloe replied.
"Cosmo and Chloe's father is a Pokémon Researcher, as well." Professor Oak said. "He shows great promise, as well; He's been deemed a genius since he was young. Cosmo is also learning to become a Pokémon Researcher."
"So, how long are we gonna wait for the careless and simple-minded guy?" Goh asked.
"Goh." Cosmo said, as what Goh just said was rude.
"We don't want to be late back, either..." Professor Oak said. "Oh, well. I guess we're setting off."
Time skip with Ash running to Oak's Laboratory without changing out of his pajamas.
The group are now in the forest.
"All right, it's time to explore the forest and observe the Pokémon living here!" Professor Oak said.
"All right!" The kids said, as they raised their arms.
As the group explore the forest, they've come across two trainers battling a Caterpie.
"A real live Caterpie!" Goh said excitedly.
"Go, Poké Ball!" The female trainer shouted, as she threw the Poké Ball towards the Caterpie. The Caterpie shrunk into the Poké Ball and after three shakes it was captured successfully.
