A/N: Okay readers, here's wassup, this book has no cover, and this saddens me. If anyone will send me a cover, I'd love to use it. Thanks kiddos, tweens, teens, 20+ and secret agers.

Era Damon White**

Dressed carefully in blue and black, Era entered the liar's office. He'd sent an express letter asking to visit his children, saying that their grandmother was ill, and he wanted to tell them in person. Of course, the 'Headmaster' immediately sent wishes for her speedy recovery and an invitation to floo in.

Era was satisfied by this, and Astrid, Dominick, and the third person he'd requested were there. His letter had read;

Dear Headmaster Dumbledore,

I am messaging you because my children's biological grandmother is ill. This was quite sudden, and due to her poor health could be life threatening. I'd like to tell them in person, as both of them were very close to her.

On another note, it would be a reassurance to me if there was an adult there that they'd feel comfortable going to if they needed any extra support at school. I would have you as my first choice of course, but I fear they'd be too nervous to approach such an important personage.

I have on very reliable account that the current Defense Against the Dark Arts professor is very quiet and non-threatening, so was wondering if you could arrange for me to meet with him too so my darlings would have someone they could turn to.

As the matter is urgent, at your soonest possible convenience, I'd appreciate you allowing me enterance to Hogwarts so I can support them through the terrible news. After speaking with them, I'd like to speak with Professor Quirrel to arrange him as their trusted adult.

Thank you for your help,

Era Damon White

Era politely hinted that he wished for privacy between himself and his  adopted children, and thankfully the other adults took the hint and left.

He quickly wrapped Astrid in a hug, pecking her forehead, and gave Dominick a firm handshake and left a hand on his shoulder. Altough the paintings all appeared to be asleep, Era knew better and tried to make his way carefully through his story.

"Astrid, Dominick, I'm so sorry to bear such difficult news, but it's you grand-mere, she's sick. I only learned about it yesterday, and when I visited her she insisted nothing was wrong with her and she 'still ran better than kids these days, always getting into trouble', though you two know as well as I that your grandmother's health has been poor. The doctors say she may not pull through this time, and I felt I had to tell you two in person.

"I've arranged it so that your defense teacher will be your support here at Hogwarts, so if you need anyone to talk to, then go to him. I will always be here as well, so owl me anytime you like."

Astrid managed to fake some tears and hugged Era tightly, as if she were heartbroken to hear the news. Dominick affected a gobsmacked expression, arms straight down and fingers spread as if the news shocked his hands into opening.

"Astrid, shhh, she's very strong, and I don't believe that she'll go that easily. Dominick, would you come help me comfort your sister?"

The fourteen year old boy wrapped his 'sister' in his arms, the opposite side as Era himself was on, and quietly he said, "Grand-mere will be fine Astrid, you can't believe she won't. She promised to spend Yule with us after all, there's no way she'd break her promise."

Era and the two Ineas were still play acting for their audience, and the small family unit made there way over to an unfortunately colored red and orange couch. Sinking into it, the trio pretended to be consoling each other until Era quietly excused and disentangled himself.
