**Era Damon White
He'd returned to Privett Drive to pen his letter and get food. It had actually been a while since he'd eaten, but the only reason he even remembered about food was that he'd seen the still full fruit basket on the kitchen counter. He hadn't been at all hungry before that, which surprised him.
He grabbed an apple and a partial sleeve of club crackers before settling down on a stool and getting his necessary materials out. A sheet of parchment, an inkwell, and a quill.
~Feel free to roam as you wish, you have the run of the place and may go outside if you so desire.~
Derum and D left immediately, going in opposite directions to scout out the house, but Lily and Pyre stayed on him. He was fine with it, he even liked the comforting pressure against his skin reminding him that he was no longer alone.
~I warn you two, this isn't going to be very interesting.~
Lily just hummed softly and nuzzled her head into his arm a bit, and Pyre did absolutely nothing. Era figured his familiar must just be the quiet type and took no offense at his being ignored.
Shifting tact, he switched to his current aim. Era wanted to buy the property, and he wanted to buy it outright. He intended to have full legal control of everything involved in his club, including its front. It was going to be his, and he'd pay for it to ensure it happened.
He essentially wrote that he wanted it and he would have it, a tad more diplomatically of course, before considering how best to send it.
Era was expecting immediate results, and while owls were fast in comparison to muggle post, they were most assuredly not immediate. He could send the letter with magic easily enough, but how to get it back in an expedient fashion, now that was the question.
Maybe he could lay a charm on it so the letter would return when the envelope was sealed?
It may work, after all, were he to simply write a post script explaining the magic in effect, the receiver could just follow the instructions. Below the main body of the letter, Era quickly scrawled,
"P. S. Your response is expected immediately or I will rescind my generous offer. Write a location on this sheet, return it to the envelope, and seal it. I will expect you to meet me in the aforementioned location within five minutes of you sealing the envelope. I will have the money with me."
~What do you two think?~
~It's very authoritative. I think it will intimidate them into doing as you say.~
~Pyre?~
~How am I supposed to know? You humans make little sense. It does seem straightforward enough to follow though, so at least there is that.~
~Okay, thank you oh-so-very-helpful familiar mine.~
Era could practically feel the snake roll his eyes, and he grinned. This was kind of fun.
With that, Era tucked the letter into an envelope, wrote the contact information he'd gotten from the storefront on it, and used a few twists of magic to ensure its delivery and return.
He had not been lying about taking back his offer, he needed to get his reputation established and had zero intention of losing the upper hand in any given situation. Even if the person he contacted had no connections and Era had yet to be known to the world so it mattered little, there was always the slight possibility that this would come back to harm him in the future.
